Non news on Cherilus bar fight

Cherilus got caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and the Globe put it on their front page.

If you actually read the account of the incident, you'll see that Gosder and Tribble are just getting roped in because of who they are, not what they did. Both deny any wrong doing and the cop/bar owner involved is also claiming they're innocent. It was a crowded two-story bar on the 4th of July. The place was filled with potential witnesses. If either guy did anything wrong, it would be all over the Boston media. Instead one lawyer and one slow day at the Globe gives this more attention than it deserves.

While we are trying to add games like USC, our conference rival Clemson is softening their schedule.

I get fired up about BC sports. These people get fired up about BC for a different reason.

Here is an article on the NY-NJ All Star game. Rutgers is the focus, but don't overlook the work that BC signee Chris Johnson did at QB for the New Jersey squad.

I also follow up on The Sporting News ridiculous rankings over at the AOL Fanhouse. I didn't rank Jags or Randy Shannon since neither has coached a game yet. It should be noted that by weighing a school's past success with the coach's performance, TOB would have been 6th out of the 10 current ACC coaches with head coaching experience.
