Willis commits, decommits and then commits, and other links

It was a strange night if you follow BC recruiting on Twitter. First Rivals reported Georgia running back Myles Willis' commitment. Then Willis himself took to twitter to say that he didn't commit. Later in the night he clarified that he did commit. Regardless, it seems like it is over and he seems like a good pickup. He plays for local Atlanta power Marist. I will try to check out one of his games this fall.

One of the great under-appreciated aspects of BC sports is "For Boston." However, the bloggers at Atlantic Coast Convos have great taste as they listed our fight song as the best in the ACC. (Am I the only one singing "For Boston" to himself right now?)

BCeagles.com put out another player Q&A, this time with basketball transfer Alex Dragicevich. Dennis Clifford is one of the players who has made an early impression on Alex.

The Basketball team released their final roster. It includes Dragicevich and updates Kilcullen's for transfer.

One of the stats I do like is returning starters. If there is a real causation, we'll surprise people this year.

BC offered Cincinnati area OL prospect Dylan Wiesman. Regardless of the stars, I think BC needs to keep up a Cincinnati connection in this class.

Dragicevich transfers to BC officially

When we last blogged about Alex Dragicevich he was denying reports that he had committed to Boston College. Now his transfer is public and official. All my original comments on his transfer still hold. It's a good sign to get a transfer from Notre Dame and he has the type of game to thrive under Donahue. The bad news is that he cannot play next year and makes our class of 2015 very, very crowded. If Donahue doesn't get some scholarship balance, he will have a huge rebuilding project in three years.

The Heights reported that Alex Dragicevich will transfer to BC. Originally from Illinois, Dragicevich played his first two seasons at Notre Dame. He's a 6'7 wing player that can shoot. He'll have to sit out next season and then have two years of eligibility thereafter. I like the addition and think he'll help. My only concern is that it adds to an already crowded graduating class in 2015. The scholarships need to even out eventually or Donahue will have massive rebuilding jobs every four years.

Ryan Quigley signed a free agent deal with the Bears. He will be given the chance to compete for the starting punter position.
