Jamie Silva: All-America

Jamie Silva earned first team All-America honors. Congrats and well deserved. Jamie is the perfect example of inaccuracy of forecasting high school talent. Intelligence, hard work, good coaching, desire, and physical and emotional maturity all go into becoming a great college athlete.

I don't know if Jamie has the size or speed to play in the NFL, but he's proven plenty of people wrong in the past. Good luck. He'll be missed.

Absolutely going to miss watching Silva play every week.
On an unrelated note, I thought I'd share this link with everyone. It seems that others have taken notice of Al Skinner this year.

So will I - a great 4 year player for BC.

Best of luck, Jamie.

Barros aboard

The Celtics' basketball operations department has added a new face - and a familiar one at that: Dana Barros. The former Xaverian/Boston College/Celtic guard has been named director of player development.

"I don't know if it's official yet," said executive director of basketball operations/general manager Danny Ainge, "but his job will be player development."

Silva has been signed to a FA contract by the Indianapolis Colts. His speed and size won't be as much a factor as with other teams since the Colts use a cover 2defense. Hope he can make the team, he seems like a performer come game day.
