These kinds of games are tough to quantify. No one would ever mistake the US for Spain. They're World Champs for a reason. That being said, you'd hope for a better showing from our boys. Hopefully they can put that behind them and get back to the business of kicking Mexico's butt.
(At least we got them in the game that counted in 2009)
Why do so many writers incorrectly refer to us as the "Golden Eagles".
The US had a lot to play for? Excuse me? I'm not sure if you head has been in the sand but starting on Tuesday the US will have a lot to play for when they begin the Gold Cup.
And for the record, you are right Bradley's teams really never show up when it counts. I mean beating Spain 2-0 in the Confederations Cup and losing 3-2 to Brazil in the finals was not a big deal at all. Or winning their group in the World Cup. Yeah, they never show up.
If you even watched the game you would know that Bradley didn't care about the result and that he wanted to give his young guys like Ream and Agudelo among others some experience against elite competition.
I would have been disappointed if they lost 4-0 (well should have been at least 5-0 since the refs blew the off-sides call early in the first half, but that is beside the point) with our actual starters playing.

You generally are a good blogger. Please stick to sports/topics that you actually know about though, as you only will lose credibility with articles like this one.
What a terribly written article from Scout... I could write a much better article for them. Honestly sounds like a senior in high school wrote that...
Keep it coming Atl. I won't knock any opportunity to talk soccer with other BC guys.
Brian Dale is right about the game, but, Brian, come on man. Your last thought there comes off as really preachy.
Eh Bob Bradley is not the big game coach that you think he is Brian. The U.S. was lucky they won their weak group in the World Cup considering they came out flat in each game. Let's not mention the fact that they lost a game they should have won in the Round of 16 either. Outside of the Confed Cup, what exactly has he done?
