Hockey still No. 1 and other links

Coming off an opening round sweep, BC Hockey held onto its No. 1 slot in the USCHO.com Division I Men’s Poll. BC will take on Providence this Friday at the Garden. The game will be on NESN.

Miami swept the BC baseball team over the weekend. BC will have a chance at their first ACC win this Friday at Clemson.

BC basketball target Anthony January is gaining more attention from other programs...especially with his strong play of late.

If you missed it over the weekend, you need to read the New York Times article on Nerlens Noel. This is Jimmy Noel's little brother and he is one of the biggest basketball recruits to come out of New England in years. BC is not on his radar. If you read the article you won't begrudge Donahue for not bothering. The situation is a mess and multiple people are pulling Noel in different directions.

Here is another scouting report on Luke Kuechly.

But if the kid is stressed out from the situation, maybe a hometown solution is what he needs?

Brett, it'd be nice, but the article makes it pretty clear the wrong types of people are involved in his recruiting and he's not coming to BC.

On a baseball note - Maine is not doing all that well, but they managed to beat Clemson on Feb. 24th.

Clemson was swept by UNC, so they may be ready to take it out on someone. I think BC can win one, anyway. Maybe on St. Patty's Day, eh?

Clemson lost to USC 2 games to one, but 2 games were down to the wire. We'll see which Clemson team shows up. BC will love the weather this weekend.

Go BC Baseball.

Go BC Hockey - both teams.

The NY Times article is enough to make you sick.

Importantly for those outside of New England, BC hockey's Hockey East semifinal on Friday at 5 pm will be televised live on NBC Sports Network (formerly Versus). The final is also on that channel Saturday at 8 pm. Go EAGLES!
