BC coaches making lots of offers

With the 2018 Class presumably finished up, Addazio and his staff have used this critical time to make offers to 2019 and 2020 players. Based on their tweets, here are some of the latest targets.

This Rhode Island OLine prospect is getting offers from major programs like Ohio State and Florida. Hopefully BC can leverage our proximity.

Florida DB Renardo Green is highly rated but doesn't have a lot of offers yet. Perhaps it is his size. He seemed excited about BC's offer.

Coach Brian White seems active in Florida, as he also offered DLine prospect Norell Pollard and DB Brandon Hill

Another New England recruit is Avon, CT QB Taisun Phommachanh.

Gunnell offered New Jersey prospect Marlyn Johnson.

This OLine prospect is in Ohio and has an OSU offer, so it may be an uphill battle.
BC also offered this New York Line prospect.
Coach Frye seems to be out in the Midwest making offers.

Seems like BC staff is providing the content for the tweets, interesting or no?

Recruits seem to be there. Everything is upgrading and appears positive. The only problem is the doubt with the head coach. Assistants are positive. There is still that lingering doubt which continues to dog the program.---If close games at NC St. and Iowa in the bowl game were wins, everything would be gravy. Seven and six year after year is not a good thing. Jarmond needs to establish bench marks for this next year and evaluate accordingly.---Kelly at the French School had a really bad year last season. He responded to a little pressure. His substitution at quarterback in the second half was masterful.---This "lukewarmness" and almost this and almost that is maddening and needs to be "cut off at the pass". Personally, I don't think that he has it beyond mediocrity. I would make a change now. He has been given five years to come up with mediocrity.---Now, he is "hanging his hat on Dillon" just like he built around Andre Williams. It sort of depends on AB. If he is back and healthy, the Eagles may fly. If he is not and Perry (in the words of Monk the tv detective) "is the guy" to just hand off the ball, then they face nine man lines and squeak by in a few to end up 7-6.---You can't keep passing the buck and say that you like the discipline from Addazio. Somewhere and sometime, you need a winner. Look at what TC did with Jacksonville in a short time. Excuse time is up after five years. "Put up or shut up".

Well spoken, JBQ. You sum it up nicely.

i think for Daz, maybe we could say "Put Up or be Put Down"

He needs to be put down (as a coach that is). Now.

The expectation for 2018 needs to be 9-3. That would put us in or around the top 25 and is a legitimate expectation given the number of returnees in the program and the fact that Addazio is headed into year 6 of his tenure. Anything less than that is (further?) confirmation that Addazio has a relatively low ceiling and we need to move on to someone who can do better.

We would have to win all 4 OOC games - quite possible but at Purdue will be tough.

We will have to win one of these - Clemson, Miami, Virginia Tech or FSU.

I don't know what to think of Louisville, but I'll count it as a win.

And then win the rest, of course - NC State, Wake Forest and Syracuse.

I heard that Clemson will visit the Heights on a Friday night. Might be an opportunity there, crazy as it sounds.

Let's discuss.

Actually, the schedule just came out.

The Friday night game (10/26) is Miami, following a bye week. That one could be CRAZY!!!!

Saturday, Sept. 1 vs. UMass
Saturday, Sept. 8 vs. Holy Cross
Thursday, Sept. 13 at Wake Forest*
Saturday, Sept. 22 at Purdue
Saturday, Sept. 29 vs. Temple
Saturday, Oct. 6 at NC State*
Saturday, Oct. 13 vs. Louisville*
Friday, Oct. 26 vs. Miami* (This will be a night game)
Saturday, Nov. 3 at Virginia Tech*
Saturday, Nov. 10 vs. Clemson*
Saturday, Nov. 17 at Florida State*
Saturday, Nov. 24 vs. Syracuse*

There's a short turnaround from Holy Cross to Wake Forest on a Thursday night. But that will give us a little more time to get ready to travel to Purdue.

Okay - so looking at the schedule - at Wake Forest (9/13) and at Purdue (9/22) are the 2 critical early games.

I'm glad that Wolford is gone, but who Wake's QB is next year is unknown, maybe. I think Hinton is pretty good. Newman is a big QB and might be a guy who wins out. Bowers out of PA is a strong potential as well. So, we had better be ready. I think I'm glad this is an early game.

Concerning Purdue, Junior David Blough and sophomore Elijah Sindelar split time at quarterback before Blough suffered a season-ending injury in early November last year. How that shakes out next year is unknown - but they are both good QBs. Head Coach Jeff Brohm is an up and comer for sure - so this will be a tough game. Purdue will be a team that can put some points on the board.

Wouldn't it be great if the Eagles could take all games in September? What a change a strong, fast start would be.

We can win in Raleigh, but it's always tough and a sold out, all-red atmosphere. For those who haven't been to that venue, it's a good trip. Some really nice restaurants in Raleigh too.

Saturday, Oct. 6 at NC State* In order to go 9 and 3, this is a must win.

I'd love to paste Petrino in Chestnut Hill.

Saturday, Oct. 13 vs. Louisville* In order to go 9 and 3, this is a must win.

The stretch from October 26th to November 17th is what it's all about!!!!!!!! Unbelievable challenge and opportunity.

Will this be the Red Bandanna Game? This one could be unbelievably crazy for Boston College and Boston on prime time TV.

Friday, Oct. 26 vs. Miami* (This will be a night game) In order to go 9 and 3, We will have to win one of these - Clemson, Miami, Virginia Tech or FSU.

Pay back time opportunity in Blacksburg.

Saturday, Nov. 3 at Virginia Tech* In order to go 9 and 3, We will have to win one of these - Clemson, Miami, Virginia Tech or FSU.

Depending on how the season is going, this could be one whale of a game and huge opportunity for Boston College on prime time TV.

Saturday, Nov. 10 vs. Clemson* In order to go 9 and 3, We will have to win one of these - Clemson, Miami, Virginia Tech or FSU.

Don't let down guys - punch them in the mouth early and often.

Saturday, Nov. 17 at Florida State* In order to go 9 and 3, We will have to win one of these - Clemson, Miami, Virginia Tech or FSU.

What can I say - eff the Orange!!! :-) Stomp em.

Saturday, Nov. 24 vs. Syracuse*

Go Boston College Eagles.
