Damn but Gene made a good hire. It's great to have a guy who wants to be at BC for all the right reasons and has his priorities straight. Plus - no coachspeak. He actually has something to say and says it. I don't hink you will ever hear him make excuses about fan support or facilities or anything else.

Just got a text from my roommate on the 10am from Logan to JAX. He said the flight looked as if it was chartered. On top of it, he said everyone was rocking BC gear, as recommended by ATL...Great news for our presence this weekend!

Go Eagles!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. Only about 24 hours away. It feels like Christmas Eve except this year there is a possibility of Santa robbing me blind instead of leaving gifts. Like others here I'm optimistic. Lets pull out a win! Hope to see any of you from Boston who couldn’t make it to Jax at the Greatest Bar tomorrow.

GO EAGLES

"Tailgate Bar and Grill" is right across the street from the stadium. After reading all the posts about how there's nothing good to do near the stadium, this place seems legit.

I'd rather pregame or postgame there as opposed to the places by the hotels on the riverwalk, cause you can skip the long walk to the stadium and avoid having to rush.
They grill outside and serve huge beers in footballs! Sounds good to me...

No one's giving us a chance in this game (college gameday, etc.), but I'm kind of liking the underdog approach. Better weather (aiding the passing game), (more) neutral environment, plus an added week for our defense to heal up, all seem to work in our favor.

The addition of Taylor + the return of that stud LB of theirs makes me nervious, but if that's the worst issues in a Championship game, I have nothing but good vibes.

Lets go boys.

At Mass this afternoon, Fr. Casey predicted 6 TD passes. God is on our side.

I just had a chat with Ernie, who works in my local grocery store down here in Mobile, AL and played for B.C. for 3 years in the late '70s (didn't graduate, sadly.) He predicted a B.C. win over VT the first time, and he says he feels even better this time. He has a nearly perfect track record, so I hope he's right. Go Eagles - win this thing!

Please tell me you guys have seen the video VT fans made about revenge against BC.
they call jags Jagoffzinsky among several other gems (how creative)
it supposed to be their "pump up" video, yet its really just highlights of us beating them on their turf.

Just watched the VT "inspirational" video. While the Teletubby dancing at the end made me laugh, I'm a little confused by the following:

1) The description of the video says it's a rematch of "Beamer and Jagoff (clever)." I was under the impression BC and VT's football teams were playing. Instead, they must have scheduled a boxing match between coaches.

2) They highlight Ryan puking. I'm not sure what VT fans are supposed to find inspiring about the 2nd viewing of our QB's dinner, especially since it is a reminder of what Ryan did to their defense in the final 4 minutes of the game.

3) The Clemson hit from 2 years ago. Now I'm really lost. Is Ryan supposed to be "watching his back" because members of the 2005 Clemson D may be on the field tomorrow. Is that legal?

They did it in a monsoon and tomorrow is supposed to be perfect weather. Play mistake-free ball and we're going to the Orange Bowl. Go BC!

And Lally, to further your questions...

1) I'd take Jags against Beamer in the ring any day. No contest.

2) This just shows that Matty left his guts on the field (literally).

3) I believe Matty got up and finished the game in Clemson.

So for 2 & 3 it's basically just saying, "hey, he's tougher than us." Way to go Virginia Tech.

Props for the ending. Go Eagles!

(Upstate love, Lally. Upstate love.)

Had no idea JAGS had an Autistic daughter. We have a son, so I have an idea of his pressure away from campus and football.

Let's keep this guy!
