For the first time all year, the O-line shows up on the opening drive on the road. Montel really grinds out some yards to get to the goal-line and then a terrible pass from Shin. Uh oh.
Shinskie has got to learn to stop forcing the ball in double coverage, especially in the redzone. Throw the ball away and live to see another day.
It's brutal to move the ball at will and come away with zero points.
No worries, our defense has shown we can deliver punishing blows to the poor bastards on the chain crew.
I'm never the guy complaining about espn360 commentators, but today these guys are really awful.

The front 4 for BC are getting manhandled.
I'm really hoping we can have a 3 score lead at the half. This game looks like it could be brutal to watch

Keep in mind, BC was only up 7-3 at half vs. Central Michigan.
And now Shinskie has the yips. This is going to be an ugly first half.
I guess the crucial word there was "hope". Eagleboston, you're right though about CMU, good point. At least that game opened up. This one just feels dead.
Awesome job by Davis to stick with the coverage there and make the great play on the ball in the air!

That Matt Ryan ESPN commercial was the highlight of this game so far.
These announcers are pretty bad. NC State is not a decent defense.
I'm reticent to keep running harris, given our back-up options, but that's what's working. Run it down their throats!
Jesus Christ, Shinskie! Just run for it! Stop forcing these throws into multiple coverage! That should've been a second pick there. I am really not feeling good about this game.

What is the logic of an empty backfield on 3rd and two when your running game is averaging 4 - 5 yards per carry?

Chicagofire, I totally agree. We really have a hot-hand offense. Our O-line isn't good enough to force balance down the defense's throat. Tranquill needs to realize what's working, especially on the 3rd and short plays, and rely on that.

Scoreboard watching: North Carolina is up on Miami 7-0. I really fear for next week's "home" game at a half-empty Alumni. UNC has been on a tear the past few weeks.
That was a nice third-down call there, especially against the blitz. An easy throw to McCluskey and a first down. Let's do it again!

Yeah, Tranq has been calling a pretty good game. The those two third-and-short calls were poor, but the move to really challenge UVa downfield in the passing game was really smart. Hopefully the offense can start executing a little better here.

I love Meter but he is always 2 minutes behind the video feed.
When Meter is a better alternative, you're in a very bad place. Muting the audio is the way to go.

That was worse than watching us get thrashed by Clemson and VaTech because this VA team is going nowhere, playing in front of a crowd that has already abandoned them. My first game watching on ESPN360. Every time they return from commercial, the picture goes black and I have to resize the window to return it. Anyone else?
If you don't mess with the picture size it should return to full screen once the game restarts.

I'm with you, eagleboston. Shinskie is rattled and making poor decisions and poor throws. He looks uncomfortable in the pocket and refuses to take easy, underneath throws. Take him out, run it with Harris, and give Marsco some easy throws.

I guess these last 3 games don't really matter. Clemson is clearly on a mission and is not going to lose to this crappy Virginia team. If we can't get to the ACC CG, then a 6-5 BC team really does not get a better bowl opportunity than a 9-3 team. I know that seems crazy, but it's true.
