Big game for women's soccer

Most of us will be focused on BC football this Saturday, but save a little room on your fan plate for the BC women's soccer team. They play Washington late Saturday afternoon in the NCAA Tournament. It is a home game on the Newton Campus and the winner advances to the Final Four. Go Eagles!

With the huuuge Nevada upset, this basically means we are going to be playing Nevada in the Kraft Bowl. Holy cow!!!!

And if somehow Nevada flukes its way into a BCS bowl, that would still leave us with Boise State because I believe the Kraft bowl has the first pic of the WAC. Either way we are likely to be facing a highly ranked opponent. Wow.

Glad to see you follow all BC sports. The soccer victory was a BC milestone -- reaching the Final Four in a sport that virtually every D-1 school plays (unlike hockey, which I love BTW). Cerrone's amazing goal deserves to go down in BC lore with Hail Flutie. Great video on the BC website. Hope to see you reporting live from Cary, N.C.
