They hype begins

Winning the final two regular season games should be BC's priority. But it wouldn't hurt the program to help load up Williams' stats. Coming off two monster games, the media is starting to pay attention.

Adelson notes that Williams is responsible for 49% of BC's offense.

Athlon points out that with a bowl game, Barry Sanders' single season rushing record is within reach.

If Williams puts up another 500 yards in the last two games, I think he will get invited to New York for the Heisman ceremony.

I'd be surprised if he got invited in any scenario. But a few 5th place votes? Why not?

Sorry for the non-sequitur, but there was a post on here about live mascots not too long ago and BC's plans for a Bald Eagle.

Real Sports did a piece on that subject this week. BC got a specific mention at the very end by Bryan Gumbel.

Okay, back to Williams, etc...

Wow, how refreshing. Positive press for BC from the Worldwide Leader. Now if we could just do something about B-Ball.

We just gotta hope Williams can keep it going against Maryland. The more consecutive big games he puts up, the more national attention he'll get.

Top-5 all-time rushing season, here we come!

Williams himself will tell you that the most important thing this Saturday at Maryland is to win the game.

When they "load the box", they will be much better than teams like Army, NMSU and NC State.

I don't have the stats in front of me, but Andre will have his work cut out for him. Hopefully a rainy 50 degree day will help us.

Don't get me wrong, I really admire Andre, but let's stay in focus about the real goal. Win the game.

An analogy is all the hype about how the Pats never lose in November and December - the last half of the season. Then they went out and lost the game in Charlotte.

They didn't lose it on the last play, they lost it when the settled for a FG on 4th and 1 with about 5 or 6 minutes to play.

This game at MD might come down to a gut check play late in the game.

I care much more that we make the right decision then and throughout the game than Andre Williams' personal stats.

His stats will come, but let's talk about the TEAM!!!

Go BC - beat Maryland. They will be gunning for us, and we don't need any distractions.

Can there be horse trading at bowl time? If Duke lose to UNC and Miami loses to Pitt then VT plays FSU in the ACC title. If FSU wins, it then heads to the title game. How attractive are Duke, Miami, VT and GT? UNC with seven wins may be more appealing than the other Coastal teams. UNC is probably headed to the Belk bowl. Clemson win or lose would get the Orange. If BC wins out and has the best RB in the land why not pit them against Georgia in the Chick bowl vs. Gurley another great back. It could be the clash of the titans. Or make a trade with Louisville. Louisville turns down it's invite to the Orlando bowl and heads to the Independence bowl. The Chamber of Commerce in Orlando pays them an extra million. The ACC agrees with the American conference to have ND play Cincy over the next two years and BC to play UConn. In exchange for these arrangements ND plays BC in Orlando. Big tv numbers and thousands of extra tourists. Everyone gets a prize.

Another game on NESN+ this weekend and as of now, another game students on campus won't be able to watch.

The funny thing is, last year when the Bruins and Celtics were in the playoffs, BC Cable carried NESN+....so it can be done.

Hopefully someone in athletics takes notice and does what needs to be done to make this happen.

As usual you assume things that can't be justifiably supported by any logical
Inference. BC is not about to bargain away it's well deserved reputation for always excelling by entering into such ironic intrigues as you continually suggest. BC should keep its head in the clouds and stay above the fray.
