In-game comments post: Colorado State
This won't provide the highs of USC nor will it generate the "ehhs" of Maine. Instead this game represents a great opportunity for BC to close the month out with a win and prepare for the rest of the ACC slate. Let's make it a good one! Leave your thoughts and comments below.

Very, very concerned about the Rams' passing attack.

The kick off guys need to stay in their lanes. One guy was in position to make the tackle and shifted way over to the left.

All Murphy. Other BC QBs would have been down for a loss, and we would have settled for a FG attempt.

Too many big plays on that drive. But, it's hard to hold the Rams scoreless for an entire half.
BC is being too conservative here. Co State wants the ball back. This is where our shitty passing game costs us big time.

We need to get something out of this drive. Rams get the ball to start the half and I am guessing they will score as they have figured out how to dink and dunk on us.

Such a refreshing change from Spaz. He would have never forced the ball down the field with 90 seconds left. We may come away with no points, but I like the strategy.
Frustrating end to the half. First allowing them to drive and then not converting on the FG. Can't let them hang around.
Ouch, I'm not feeling good about this. Don't like that they get the ball first with all of the momentum.
How can't either of BC's kickers out one through the uprights? At least Daz is pissed.
Is Howell our only kicker from long distance? Don't we have a freshman that we recruited? Howell has cost BC a lot of points this season and that is unacceptable. Most college kickers can make that kick.
I'm guessing after last week, Colorado State is going to be ready for a surprise onside kick.

What bugs me is late arrivals pushing their way through mid 2nd quarter.
Shit, they have our defense completely on their heels.
QB has way too much time to pass and is picking BC apart. When BC brings a blitz though, he's still able to hit short passes for big yards. Pick your poison.
I'm irate that we did not score before the half. This team will score at will in the 2nd half and our offense is going to have to score 3 TDs just to keep up with them.
Well seems like I was right. Not hard to predict though. Terrible tackling on that run.

If CO State gets any points out of this drive, that is huge for them. All they need is 1 defensive stop and they can drive in for the win. Our offense has to score every possession from here on out to stay ahead of these guys. They are potent on offense.
Now, that missed Howell field goal is critical. Must score on this drive to go up by 10. They have contained the big plays so far. Time for the Sherminator?
That conversion by Murphy was huge.
Willis seems to be running better than Hilliman today.

Bad, bad, bad timeout. You cannot blow timeouts in close game. We may need them for a final drive. First major coaching mistake of the game and it is a costly one.

Well, I knew this was going to be a step back year due to Spaz's absolutely shitty recruiting, but I thought we would win this one at home. Still, I figured the USC game as a loss, so we are right where I thought we would be after 5 games. Not sure where we can find 3 more wins as our schedule gets very tough. Wake is the only sure victory left.

Terrible terrible loss. Horrible second half coaching. That's what happens when you go ultra conservative on offense and defense.
I am not sure we should stick with Murphy. He is one dimensional, presents zero threat in the passing game is is not the future. Since this is a step back year, shouldn't we be getting Wade some experience. We're not going to a bowl anyway, so why not get your your QB some reps and better prepare him for next season.
When can we start a fire Don Brown campaign?
Next year will be an even bigger step back with a new young QB

Howell's missed field goal was a killer. Flipping find another Apo in the student body. That cost us the game.
Their coaching cost BC the game, esp. in the 4th quarter. Putrid.
Right, Bravesbill, that is why we need to get them some experience this year. If you cannot score more than 7 points in a critical game against a non-power conference team, you are not the answer at quarterback. Start Wade, get him some experience, and we will be much better prepared next season. Otherwise, you could blow 2-3 early games next year trying to get experience.
Zero touches for Alston. Inexcusable.
