The silver lining is that BC was still a tournament team during a transition year. As much as casual fans assume that the team can often just turn it on, not winning the Beanpot or Hockey East Tournament served as a warning sign. BC didn't have enough to hang with Denver as the Pioneers won 5-2.
BC finished the season 21-14-3. Even with the loss, the guys and Jerry York still deserve our thanks for another very good season.

I call BS - again.
York set the standard. Getting bounced without sniffing the frozen 4 for the 2nd year in a row is dissapointing. Not clear to me it's going to get better next year.
Don't overlook yourself when you're "calling BS". BC lost in the national semi-finals last year to Union, who won the national championship the next night.
BC lost a lot of talent to the NHL early last year, which is not a problem that we typically have. We also had 2 recruits bail on their commitments to play in the AHL - blue chippers from last year's class. This team was carried by kids with little to no collegiate experience and we still made a run. They grew leaps and bounds over the course of the season. Learn a little bit about the team (ccw) before you knock them or York... We're not a school in any sport that is used to early departures, and that graduation rate is something most of us are normally proud about.
Yes - a disappointing early exit. But when you have a good overall record and make it to the NCAA tournament you cannot complain. The point of the season is to be good enough to put yourself in a position to win championships. They did that with a very inexperienced team. Sometimes the stars are aligned and they get to the final and win - and sometimes (really most of the time) the stars are not aligned. Whether its field hockey, ice hockey or any other sport BC plays - we want to be good enough every year to have a shot. Men's ice hockey was a contender - you can't complain. If you want something to complain about - then look at each of our basketball programs.
Nappy
Exactly.
