Magarity gone too

Will Magarity is the latest basketball player to depart. According to Goodman, BC released him from his scholarship. While Magarity showed some flashes, he was never going to be great fit for what Christian is trying to do. Having him around for some depth would have been nice, but his extended absence last season due to lingering effects from a concussion showed that the team could get by without him. Good luck to him and good luck to the staff in finding some more big men.

Felt like Magarity was coming along last year until the concussion, didn't he take the starting job?

Just another ding in the goal of spreading out schollies a little. Disappointing.

He had some moments, but I don't think his upside was all that much. I wish him luck. W/ Hanlan gone the transition period to Christian is now over. The Christian era will start at rock bottom. Can't expect much next year, but the only place from there on will be up. I'm looking forward to seeing the 3 new guys.

Will Magarity wasn't going to make or break the season next year, and he's very replaceable.

Next season will hinge on (in no particular order)

1) the performance of the freshmen
2) the transfers that Christian can bring in
3) the health of Hicks & Diallo

If Will was surrounded by a very good team, I think the guy would have been a very effective contributor - probably off the bench - 6 - 10 points a game when starters needed a breather.

Sorry he's gone, but don't know the story.
