Basketball starts off strong

The lackluster performances during exhibition season raised some concerns. Those issues weren't apparent Saturday as BC cruised to victory over St. Francis.

Even with Hanlan, there were many times the past few years where BC's talent wasn't even as good as many of our non-conference opponents. That wasn't an issue Saturday. Carter played as expected and freshman Jerome Robinson exploded. Even the bench players had moments.

The big men seem to still be a question mark as neither Clifford or Diallo looked crisp. But overall the rebounding continues to get better as we transition from Donahue to Christian.

BC takes on Central Connecticut State Thursday.

Looked like the Howard game on a hoop court.

and here's to you Mrs. Robinson, you've produced quite a hoop player.

wow, guys that can dunk. don't think Donahue recruited guys that could dunk.

fun to see some of the preseason hype (Robinson is our best freshman) come to fruition. hopefully Turner or someone else can also develop.

i'm worried about the front line. Owens at 4 is not gonna go well, need either Diallo or Reyes to step up. Diallo had 5 fouls in 9 minutes LOL that is pretty incredible. i wonder if Meznieks can give us some stretch-4 minutes.

excited to watch this team. can we please beat freaking harvard this year

In a repeat no less of Walker Texas Ranger, Chuck Norris says that Christ exists when he brought a kidnapped baby home. As we move to Thanksgiving and then Christmas, we all need to look at the real reason for this website and the support of BC athletics. There is a survey out which rates schools to which no one wants to apply any longer. BC is number one. BC was the only vote against stipends for athletes. It was something like 150-1. A BC education is worth 60k per year. There are only two D-1 Catholic schools playing football. One is actually suspect since BHO spoke on campus. The other is BC. For that reason alone, Addazio and Bates cannot be allowed to destroy BC football.

"There is a survey out which rates schools to which no one wants to apply any longer. BC is number one..." Highly misleading. BC made a deliberate decision to attract more serious applicants:

St. Francis game was fun to see. Looking ahead, you just know BC will get matched with Boise St in the 2nd round of the Wooden Legacy, and it's a guarantee that Lonnie Jackson goes off for 35 against us (then averages 3 pats the rest of the year).

The guy Lonnie guards should be good for a big night as well. The kid could shoot, but he couldn't guard my Grandmother.

You're right about Owens, can't see that working out, it didn't w/ Heckman. Hopefully they will transition one of the young guys before too long.
