1,000
After last week's build up, it was clear his players were going to leave nothing to chance. They crushed UMass for Jerry York's 1,000 career victory. This win doesn't make him a better coach than he was when he only won 999 games or 257 games or whatever milestone you want to celebrate. But what is great about the big numbers is that they remind us how lucky we as a BC community are to have him leading our hockey program.

Thrilled for him. The classiest coach around.
congrats to York. really think BC should consider him as the AD once he decides to step down from coaching.
on a side note - don't think i'm going out on a limb by saying one coach who won't get to 1000 wins is Christian. what a train wreck this season is. so far in ACC we have had one just atrocious, embarrassing half per game:
Duke - outscored us 42-20 in 2nd half
ND - outscored 37-24 in 1st half; 45-30 in 2nd half
Cuse - outscored us 30-15 in 1st half
Pitt - outscored us 41-25 in 2nd half
Miami - outscored us 38-25 in 2nd half
ND - outscored us 42-20 in 2nd half
This nonsense has got to stop. So embarrassing.
Brad Bates is a great judge of talent. Look at his record at Miami - because nobody at BC apparently did before they hired him. None of this is a reflection on the current athletes - its the adults running the school who are the problem. It must be a great place to work.
Miz, since Coach York is 70, I imagine he'll retire once he decides to step down from coaching. Chet Gladchuk's last and best hire. Tremendous coach and an even better person. I can't think of a better representative of BC.
As I get older I'm starting to think that life is too short to be a BC basketball fan, and that perhaps I should stop ignoring the hockey team and pretending I didn't go to a hockey school.
This is an amazing milestone and a great day for BC
