Almost
BC played their best basketball in weeks but still couldn't do enough to upset North Carolina. I admit I believed. When Carter made his 3 with just over two minutes left, I thought it was going to be our night. But even down the stretch BC made familiar mistakes (losing assignments on D and forcing bad shots on O) that cost them the game. Adding to the woe of the loss, Turner went down during the game with a bad looking injury.
As much as we might want to take away a lot of positives and hope from this game, you cannot. BC's been outplayed and overmatched in all their other ACC games. Play three more close games and then I will feel like we are seeing progress.
I feel for the fans who were there. They almost got to see something special.
The next chapter comes this weekend. Who knows what to expect.

This would have felt similar to when we upset Syracuse a few years ago. A nice win, exciting, but not a springboard to greater things.
I think that's why the USC win in football two years ago was so special. It felt like it might be a springboard to greater things, not an anomaly.
Coach Roy Williams almost died on the court. During a timeout, he collapsed. I saw the tape. He leaned over and fainted. He does great things and is from the Midwest and Kansas. I pray that he is alright.

Roy's from N.C.
Coach Williams has benign positional vertigo, an annoying and miserable - but not serious - condition which causes severe dizziness and nausea. Though one could, indeed, believe he keeled over from the shock of seeing the Tar Heels trailing BC...

Funny!
I try. ;)
probabilities of winning a game:
Syr .1
Clem .1
Clem .1
GT .2
VT .3
WF .4
Total = 1.2
BC will win ONE of the remaining 7 games and avoid a double 0-for-ACC year -- barely
The moral victory comment was top ten material.
Seriously that was basically what I was thinking when I read the post.
They aren't getting a win though.
The third quote sounds like the "throw-more-money-at-the-problem" philosophy, which doesn't work.
Brad wants to take my money and do what with it exactly that quote is shady.
Saying you can't take positives from a game where we lost by 3 to a top 10 team without our second best player (JRob) and a good defender most of the second (Turner) is incredibly stupid.
Yeah JROB and Turner. Future BC Hall of Famers.
To wake you up. Almost getting something or almost attaining a goal is not the same as actually achieving it.
Ever To Excel = Sometimes We Lose Good Even Though We Mostly Lose Bad
