That was that

It certainly wasn't the most crisp or quality game, but it was a win. Who knows what to make of any of it? The only silver lining was the extended time for the backups.

I will have grades and second viewing thoughts up late Sunday.

Is it even worth it to post grades? You can't evaluate much from this type of game.

Jones looked good against limited opposition. He had 90 yards rushing. Mystery on his body stats. He is listed at 5 ft 10, 214, while Hilliman is listed at 6 ft, 229, Actually Jones looks taller and wider. I thought that he showed a lot of enthusiasm and that the team was flat against less than mediocre competition.

How embarrassing. How can you Yahoo's even comment on this travesty?

Fuck Wagner! Hooooo! Thinking they can come up here and beat us? Fuck them! Enjoy eating crow, Seahawks! Wooooooo!

Nice satire, Blister.

@Georgia: You have to find a "silver lining". With Gene Kelly, you have to be able to "dance in the rain". They will have trouble with Buffalo and Clemson and Florida State will be national embarrassments. Life can be cruel. As for the Dazzler, the end is near. Once BB is gone, his replacement will fire Addazio.

Who cares can't watch can only stream a POS opponent. Umass got Mississippi State here this weekend which would have been a better game to watch???? Obviously with Buffalo coming up BC has checked out on schedule and fan experience and only care about ACC TV revenue.

i was refreshing espn's box score and i saw this GEM from one of the reporters live tweeting the game:

Jared Shanker ESPN Staff Writer:

This has to be Boston College's get-right game. The Eagles get a break with FCS Wagner after a three-game start that coach Steve Addazio called a 'meat-grinder.'"

if playing against georgia tech, umass, and virginia tech is considered the 'meat-grinder' this guy should be fired immediately. What a JOKE. unranked va tech, a horrible ga tech and umass. what a GRIND. BUT DUDES GONNA DUDE AMIRIGHT?

Buffalo beat an undefeated Army team in overtime at home. Army is mediocre but Buffalo will sting BC if they play like they did against Wagner. This would finish off the Dazzler.

Army is pretty decent this year for Army standards. Buffalo was dominated most of the game but pulled a 14 point comeback in the 4th and win know OT. I would like to see Army beat Duke though.

Wow! Les Miles was just fired and Daz still has a job. There is no justice.

I keep watching for Brian Kelly to be fired. Who would have thunk they would be 1-3?

Firing the coordinators is always the first step on that downhill journey to a buyout.

Wouldn't it be great if BC acted out of character, booted Daz and grabbed Cameron or Miles while available? Never going to happen, I know.

Thank you blist - post of the year!

I'd take Les Miles any day. Hell I'd take Kelly too at this point. Cam Cameron would be interesting. He was a hell of an offensive coordinator for the Chargers in the early 2000s but his reign at LSU left a lot to be desired.

eagleboston: do you know what active college football coach leads in wins? Brian Kelly. he is safe. very safe

Bravesbill said...

He's only the leader if you include non D-1 wins.
