I will be at the game, so I don't know how often I will be posting or commenting during the game. Hopefully it is such a one-sided affair in BC's favoring that I can share only happy thoughts! BC and Addazio could really use a win. Another losing season (even with a bowl invite) is hard to spin.

Addazio is gutless. 3 time outs, needs 30 yards for a field goal, and he runs to the locker room. Thank goodness the defense showed up.
Wake is totally inept on offense. BC is adequate. With their good defense, this is bad news for the dump Addazio crowd.
At halftime Daz told reporter the brutal 1:15 flight followed by the 15 minute bus ride to hotel are the reasons for the offensive sluggishness. Said no one else in college football has to play road games.
Feels if given a 5 year contract extension and a home game only schedule he'll eventually crack through to the elusive seven win level.

Your heart has to go out to Coach Addazio. A string of stupid player mistakes culminated with the delay of game. Good on Coach to openly chastise Towles, after priming the announcers in pregame meetings so they would know the mistakes are the players' faults.

Classic Addazio. Blow a timeout in a close game so your offense has little chance to mount a late game drive. The guy is a complete clown. He absolute has no clue how to manage a game.
BC should just take a knee on 1st down, it's the same thing as running it up the middle on 1st down, which it seems like they do anyways.

That's better, announcers give full credit to Coach Addazio for thinking through a brilliant play call on 4th and 6, and then the TD. Great job coaching up Towles and especially Tommy Sweeney.
He's not Louie Addazio, but the coaches saw some Louie in Sweeney and groomed him throughout the season. The Spaziani recruits whined and cried, but Coach kept the faith and overcame their treasonous play. Push another bunch of them out and Coach could have a 10 game plan-win season next year! Things are looking really bright!!!

If BB is really moving on, I don't see why you wouldn't install Coach Addazii as Coach/AD. You then bring Louie Addazio onto the football staff as heir apparent with the extra assistant slot you'd pick up.
3 out of 4 years bowling. Hearing Landry after game seems the the players love Addazio.
Unfortunately it didn't translate on the field as they had the easiest schedule out of all power 5 conference schools and barely made a bowl. Going into the season I said anything less then 8-4 would be a disgrace.
Leahy steps down in May...Bates is fired, Addazio gets one more year as new AD recruits new coach next fall. It's going to happen.

You tried to eat ham on Thanksgiving. Who kept you from doing that? Be specific.
I read this board regularly and I think many of us have become too jaded. It was a good win and a step forward. If we can't at least acknowledge progress then perhaps we are not true fans.
That said, BC needs to be more competitive against the better teams in the ACC. Not sure what the missing ingredient is...coaching, players, recruiting or just plain luck but winning half of their ACC games and getting to an overall 7-5 record should be the minimum standard of success. At least they earned their way to a bowl at 6-6.
A new AD is clearly on the way in. Daz will have a short leash and might not even see next year but there is no doubt that the players fought through a touch season to improve on last year. Give them some credit.
