This was one of those games where the score doesn't tell the whole story.
BC lost to Miami by one, but the game was not close for long stretches. It was only a frantic comeback that made it interesting. You can look at a game like that two ways. BC fighting until the end and not giving up is a great sign for future close games. The bad news is that they fell so far behind with sloppy play and letting Miami get too many second chances.
Turner had one of his best games. He was aggressive from outside and grabbed some boards. Robinson carried the team. Bowman was contained and he made many of the sloppy turnovers. Overall, though, these guys were not the problem. We didn't get enough points out of the frontline and they also were allowing too many easy baskets.
The team next takes on Virginia Tech Sunday night.

When you say Miami had too many second chances do you mean offensive rebounds??? Because we had more offensive rebounds than Miami. Also you can't really complain about turnovers when we forced Miami into more turnovers even though they are the far superior defensive team.
Another moral victory with signs of improvement in some areas.
This is what is good about hoops today - and actually is it good compared to last year and expectations for this year. Bah!
Oh my
The game was lost at the end of the first half. Look up the play by play.
Refs were bad. They didn't call some fouls that are typically. Miami guard carried the ball repeatedly.
Knucklehead, always with an excuse.
Get lost, Tony.
Like I said before Tone(spelled as intended) learn how to read. Never made a n excuse. As a matter of fact I specifically said the game was lost at the end of the half. Then in a second paragraph, which signifies a second thought/topic said the refs were bad.
Got it now?
Another day, another loss for BC. What else is new?
Stupid comment.
They don't play everyday. Yeastinfection.
Typical of a loser mentality like BC for the fans to blame the refs.
How was the game lost at the end of the 1st half? Didn't BC make a run to close Miami's lead to a more manageable 8 pts? The game was probably lost before that when Miami's lead was huge. Too big of a hole. Unless I'm misinterpreting what you're saying.
Probably doesn't mean shit. Like I said three days ago go read the play by play. Or watch the games when they happen.
There are plenty of opportunities to make plays in a basketball game, and any mentally tough team can overcome bad calls from refs, assuming they have enough talent.
This team does not have enough talent yet. Particularly in the front court. They are better than last year, and unlike football, seem to be recruiting some good players the past couple years (Turner, Bowman, Robinson).
Just as important, Christian's approach on transfers seems to have changed....we don't need scorers who can dominate the ball, they don't get the younger players enough touches to develop, they all end up sitting and watching on offense (like with Eli Carter and Brown/Batten..whatever his name was). Tava is a much better fit with a young developing team, a glue guy who plays smart and picks his spots, while Turner, Robinson, and Bowman get to develop.
Get one good big and a second "solid" big and this team can get to .500 in the ACC.
I am on board with Christian for another year if he can keep this team competitive the rest of the year and playing hard, and a couple more ACC wins. Anything else is gravy. Off the court, he needs to recruit upgrades in the front court.
