Congrats Clemson, but let's talk Harold Landry!
BC's best defensive player Harold Landry will return for his senior season. This is huge news for BC's 2017 season. As we saw in the bowl game, Landry's presence will open up so many things on the defensive side of the ball. I also think his return means BC will have the best DLine in the conference and arguably the country.
As for Landry, this is probably his best move. The NFL scouts didn't grade him out as a first rounder. Now he has one more season to develop his skills and body. I hope he is motivated. I think he can be the ACC Defensive Player of the Year.

Glad Landry (or as one TV guy called him Odell Beckham junior junior) is coming back and not surprised he is holding off on NFL
He need 15 lbs. too small to tangle with 330 lb NFL OTs
He also needs to play better vs elites. Something like 80% of his sacks were against sad sack teams. He did, tho, have 2 sacks vs FSU. Maybe one vs Clemson
Best DL in ACC? No. Not even close. You watch Clemson game? They are in a different zone than BC.
But BC DL will be pretty good which is good enough.
Any speculation on QB? Is it going to be Anthony and a couple of walk-ons? And what about a FG kicker? Any blue chip OL recruits? Sounds like business as usual at the Heights. Good-old Daz.
I am very surprised. With that much money being dangled at a probable second round choice, how could he not afford to go? The typical black player comes from a very poor background and has large families dependent on his economic success. You have to look at his bank account and a strong probability of a Canadian loan to pad him over the next year. By the way, Mehdi jumped from the Tennessee practice squad with two games to go. He was then hurt with a high ankle sprain and put on injured reserve. Simmons started getting more playing time with Denver. Herzlich is making one million for averaging half a tackle a game.
He is a clay Matthews type LB. He will be moved to take advantage of his speed and tackling ability.
He is not a DE in the pros
The chatter and press release lead me to believe they have a good QB or are getting a good one.
Does Cincinnati have one?
Knucklehead, who is they? Can you be more specific?
The coach and players. If it was just the coach I would be skeptical. Landry sounds genuinely enthusiastic about the team.
The schedule is going to be tough. They would foolhardy to throw the word championship around if they were relying on the defense. There ought to be something good coming into the QB situation.
I think the line will be average next year, which is like a good line for us after the last 3 years, because they have been playing together for a while. So it is all about the QB. They signed a pretty big time WR recently too. Another sign a QB is coming in.
Hopefully I am correct.
Again the schedule is going to be tough so the word Championship used by coach and player is interesting.
Where have all the SEC defenders gone? Stoops warned everyone not to fall for the propaganda yet many did. Even some on this blog were swept up in the media hype. What does it say about educated people being so easily misled? When the media was talking about Bama being one of the greatest defenses ever doesn't one have to look at the competition? The SEC tied the Big 10 for futility this year with seven bowl losses. Both conferences had losing records this post season. The ACC was 9-3 in the bowls. It was a rout. A mismatch. A slaughter. A wipeout of the media darlings. When will the excuses start rolling in? 2. Bama which is always touted as a dominant defense isn't so strong when they face quality competition. Three years ago Okla. beat them by two TDs. putting up 500 yards of offense. The Sooners did the same to Auburn this year. Two years ago they lost to Ohio St. and gave up 500 yards. This year and last Clenson put up 500 on them. Bama is only superior when they are playing the other stiffs in the vastly overrated SEC. Dominant a decade ago average over the last four years. Only one title in that span. Who is more depressed today? Hillary or Finebaum?
Isn't it funny. We have liberal bias with the mainstream media and SEC bias with the sports media. Another example of group think mentality.
Coughin back to Jacksonville. Oh well, at least we got to watch the irreplaceable Daz on the awful ESPNU coaches round table last night.
Pretty sure that just about every national college football analyst said that the SEC was a poor conference this year. And I don't mean just after bowl season. It was pretty well acknowledged mid-season that the SEC aside from Alabama was garbage.
Yeah, the conference should be proud. I had CU because Hurts is a RB playing QB. A man-child, though.
Good things happen when you pony up for good coaches. Swinney kinda reminds me of Bobby Bowden. Rah-rah stuff then hand it to good assistants. Good money comes from the fan base and it's high expectations and engagement. I believe CU is about to open up a new football facility. That's because of Swinney.
Landry is a ' tweener. 250lbs is do-able as an end but the league is moving to lighter, quicker coverage lbs. Dallas is the only team that runs more than it throws. Vic Beasley just led the league in sacks. He ain't 250. You can be an end or lb in Quinn' s scheme and be told to do the same thing: get the QB.
Recently discovered that Myles Garrett's (potential top pick in draft) half-brother is none other than? Sean Williams. Grew up in the Garrett house in Arlington, Tx. Interesting.
That body tho
The tattoos are horrible. What an image.
Adrian Hernandez.
JBQ, after reading both of your posts, I am reminded of the scene from Billy Madison: "what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it."
So tattoos mean he's a scumbag? What a couple of moron posters.
