Bowman's injury fitting end to forgettable year

The best thing about BC Basketball is having an MRI on his knee Wednesday. It was that kind of season.

In the actual loss to Wake Forest, BC tied the game up early in the second half without Bowman but then it fell apart. The gameplan from the start was to get physical with Wake and it led to a lot of fouls and playing time for Reyes. He looked good, so there is that going for BC.

But overall this was another waste of time year. A waste of BC's time. Our fans' time. And most importantly, the players' time. Because of the timing of this all, we are headed for another big waste of time next year.

There are many reasons why BC is struggling on the basketball court. None are insurmountable. I don't think Christian will be the guy to fix things. I just hope that next year he leaves BC basketball in a better place than he found it.

Joe Rahon running the show for St. Mary's right now against Gonzaga.

If this is a bad injury we might never see Bowman here again I don't think he'll lose a year and stay at peace it makes more sense to transfer to a real program and sit out while you're rehabbing

That PG who left the program early could have really helped this year - especially today after Ky's injury.

Robinson played 37 minutes, much of it handling the ball - the kid was gassed, I would imagine.

Let's hope that players do not transfer. And let's hope Bowman's injury isn't too bad.

And Christian should have emptied the bench. I agree with CANTTAKEIT's comment from the other site - think it was him

There has to be a reason why Rahon left. It isn't for what is told. Look at the St. Mary's squad. Shootin' Joe found a home where he was accepted. Since the debacle with Jim O'B, BC has been living in a basketball dream world. Skinner was allowed to bend the admission rules and had success in the beginning. It looks like the good players don't want to go to class and head for the known refugees from academics in the SEC. The NCAA coughs, rakes in the money, and then goes after "the little Sisters of the Poor". That is why SMU was nailed in football. They needed a scapegoat. Even the "head Jebby" (mod's words not mine) won't shut down Medjugorje because of the millions going into the coffers.

In 3 years JC is 6-51 record in ACC play. A winning percentage .105.

Is there a less successful coach in P5 or BE hoops??

Rahon wasn't very good his sophomore year at BC. Then again, he probably wasn't being utilized properly.

Rahon would have graduated already if he had not transferred. he's a 5th year senior.

after 3 years Donahue had Rahon, Hanlon, Ryan Anderson, Clifford.

after 3 years Christian has Bowman and Robinson - that's it. with 1 commit in the pipeline, who knows about how good he is.

Christian has been an unmitigated disaster. i don't have the time, but it'd be interesting to see what the point differential is, him vs. donahue - it seems like we've had our butts kicked pretty routinely.

amazing to think that someone could actually be worse than Donahue and his Hobart staff, but Bates went and did it! congrats Brad, truly an accomplishment. the fact Bates is now advising schools on who to hire is laughable - Christian is one of the worst hires, any sport, any school, in this century. 6-51 in conference!!!
