Maybe Jim Harbaugh should be one of Addazio's role models

The past few seasons, I have said that Addazio should model himself after Dabo Swinney. Be an emotional leader who dives deep into recruiting and delegates a lot to his coordinators. Maybe the real model should be Jim Harbaugh.

I know Harbaugh is far from perfect. He's a college coach, so there is a healthy mix of ego, hypocrisy, obsession and misguided priorities in his life. However, the guy has passion. And the guy turns that passion into interesting opportunities. Last year as part of spring ball, he took his team to Florida. This year, it went bigger and he took the team to Rome. Since you can't pay these players, a truly educational trip like this is a justifiable form of compensation. It is great PR too. Heck, we might get more BC alums to travel to Rome for a Spring game than we would hosting one in Alumni.

An added bonus is that Harbaugh got to meet Pope Francis and hand him a Michigan helmet. Given the Pope's history as a Jesuit, do you think he would turn down a visit from America's only FBS Jesuit football team?

Make this happen, Martin Jarmond.

Probably paid for with donations. If not, I'm sure Michigan's cash flush taxpayers (especially those in East Lansing) thought it was a swell idea. Maybe next year they can do Bora Bora.

Good one, Mod.

This trip was paid for by 1 single donor.

If BC hadnt alienated donors big and small over the last decade by only caring about the whales and big fish, and only taking from the small while never giving so much as a free busch light in return, we'd have the funds.

This school, administration, and Alumni association are so out of touch with reality it is laughable. A banner smaller than letter sized paper? GTFO.

Just stupid. Focus on what's important. ATL is losing it.

"Mod" says about all that needs to be said. Actually, this dovetails with the comment by "eagle1331". There is a cancer within the community of "school, administration, and alumni". Actually, Judy Garland when she wasn't high appealed to the Wizard of Oz. Confusion is rampant and "Mary Poppins" is the force behind the scenes. There should be an appeal to a higher authority as in "the man on the cross". With "mod's" head Jebby putting pressure on the Church to turn to socialism, you can explain all of the confusion as intentional to mask a slowly evolving hidden agenda on the part of the red headed zen master.

How about we just win some meaningful football games. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Stop pandering!

ATL: Please stop trying to rationalize keeping DAZ one minute longer than is absolutely necessary. There is no way he regains our confidence. The faster DAZ is gone the better off BC will be. I hate it that Bates' departure was timed so DAZ "couldn't" be fired at the end of last season.

JBQ please seek professional help. Unless, of course, you are merely BIG PETE, back with us after another hiatus.

I don't think it is fair to BC to make this comparison. Michigan football is at a different level in terms of resources and support. The football program at Michigan does not cost the University a penny...it actually generates tens of millions of dollars each year. As an earlier poster noted, an alum paid for the entire Italy trip. Michigan has more than 80,000 season ticket holders and a national following. A Michigan alum recently donated $100 million for new athletic facilities. Michigan just has a totally different level of community interest and big donor base. The focus at BC should be to take baby steps on the path to competing in the ACC. Being a perennial doormat will take a toll over the next few years.
