Good basketball news

Maryland wing Wynston Tabbs committed to BC! That was sort of a pleasant surprise. Tabbs is highly rated and with decent offers. He also committed early in the process. That is all great news, especially given Christian's precarious position.

I don't know enough about Christian to know if he is going to fight to keep his job or mail it in. Bringing in a good recruiting class would be a sign he cares. Maybe Tabbs is the start of something. Maybe Tabbs can even help get other recruits on board.

Even if Christian doesn't turn things around, I hope we can sell Tabbs on the BC experience so he remains committed to the school regardless of the coach.

As much as I hate JC and what this team has become, Bowman and Robinson are legit. If either of the transfers can make an impact (i.e. even remotely talented is an upgrade), we may actually win 1 or 2 ACC games. Hopefully the "upswing" will sell a couple recruits and help us attract a coach that doesn't see it as a complete rebuild, with some baseline talent in place...

"we may actually win 1 or 2 ACC games" - laughable but true. 3rd year in a row we "might" win a game or two in conference.

i like Bowman. Robinson seemed to regress last year. the program on a whole is a complete disaster and Jarmond was hopefully asked in the interview process about who he is looking at for replacements, since JC should be gone in 7-8 months.

Another indication that Jarmond is controlling the athletic department and not Leahy.

@knucklehead: You need only look to decisions by GDF and BB to see that this is true. The Jags situation and the three year extension for the Dazzler begged of some type of intervention and arbitration. Leahy allows mistakes without correction and evidently also intimidated any intervention on the part of John Fish at the board level who is a big money guy with Suffolk Construction which is in the top 200 Forbes businesses. Let's do a reality check. Just what is Father Leahy there for. Is it just to throw Holy Water on a giant fire?----Criticism of JC has one immediate result. I believe that Jarmond will stabilize one earthquake induced wreckage at a time. It would appear likely that even a 4-8 season will save Daz just because of the basketball situation.

Leahy is giving Larmond the opportunity to run the department the way he wants. Loosening the reigns on drinking and recruiting also has its downsides if it isn't managed properly. Let's see if he can manage everything.

Christian and SPAZDAZIO TWO MONUMENTS to LOSING.

SAY good bye to two gross excuses for COAHES.

CHRISTIAN MUST WIN SIX ACC games. SPAZDAZIO FOUR or MORE.

TOP 5 WORST COACHES MAJOR college coahing.

Meanwhile, I like what I am hearing from our 4 new Freshmen BBall players. I will stay positive as long as possible, but I have been just as frustrated as everyone else.

Go BC
