Sagay to transfer

With the season about to start, BC announced that sophomore G/F Mike Sagay will transfer. Sagay was one of those guys who showed potential but was still very, very raw. As much as I hate losing players with upside, I am taking this transfer as a good sign. If Sagay doesn't think he can get minutes on this team this year, then there is a chance the team is improved. Best of luck to him. He did not announce where he is headed.

I saw him at Georgia Tech last year and I thought he had the speed and ability to get to the basket to be a factor, if given the chance.

One never knows why a young guy transfers, but good luck to him.

We are so thin in hoops - God forbid any of the starters twists an ankle. Our main 5 will likely be Bowman, Robinson, Chatman, Hawkins and the freshman Mitchell with Popovic/Reyes rotating in and out periodically. After that it's a crapshoot with several unheralded freshman (i.e., by ACC standards) - pray that one of these turns out to be a contributor.

ATL spins every transfer as a good thing. Unbelievable.

That is the way college basketball works now. Everyone is on TV. Kids want to play. He wants out then let him go.

MSU game - stadium is 75% full.

Brady Quinn is a fucking idiot.

If a kid leaves BC because he doesn't think he'll get enough playing time, what does that say about his NBA prospects? Long-term, it'd be much better if he had a BC degree. But how many 19 or 20 year-olds think long-term? Khead is right - transferring is rampant in the game now. A bunch of kids think they're stars when they're mediocre at best.
