Go Loyola Chicago

If you're not on the Loyola Chicago bandwagon, it is probably time to jump aboard. There are always Cinderella stories this time of year, but how often are they Jesuit schools with our colors? The Sister Jean aspect is a unique feature too. And as I keep repeating, if this Jesuit school can do it, why can't another that is closer to our hearts?

You ask, “if this Jesuit school can do it, why can't another that is closer to our hearts?”

1. They have a much better coach and 2. Much more talent than our two-man show.

But anything is possible. It truly is, particularly in our imaginations. Foir example, a Jesuit could become Pope, an American Indian from Mass could be a US Senator. A Reality TV gutsy could be President. BC could have been a Final Four team this year with just a tiny bit more luck and pluck. Daz might have a winning conference record next year or even go undefeated and beat Alabama in the NAtional Championship. Jarmond might grow a pair

Love the satire, mod. Point well taken.

Good luck to Sister Jean and her Ramblers in Final Four . Those beautiful maroon and gold
scarves would be great "FOR BOSTON"
Gonzaga , Xavier and now Chicago Loyola it can be done we just need a Jesuit of
Father Monan's ilk. Not one who is anti-athletic.
Congrats to baseball capturing V-T series and softball sweep of UVA.
GO BC

Mod, just curious, do you find it hard to type with your white hood on or do you take it off when you post?

What does the 9:51 am comment mean? If you have something to say say it.

Not sure what the infatuation is with coaches. Truly bizarre.

Background on their head coach - http://www.loyolaramblers.com/coaches.aspx?rc=2&path=mbball

Genuinely one of the worst dressed men you'll ever find in a suit! But he's done a heck of a job in building that program and it's a great story. Still long odds even at this point but you can't help but pull for them. Teams like this make the Tournament and make college basketball unique.

By the way - we have a very good women's lacrosse program in case anyone hasn't noticed. Jarmond has to ensure we never lose this head coach (Acasia Walker- Weinstein) - she's a winner.

@Napolean: Lacrosse for the women but no men's LaX. Title IX did a number. These pseudo women could always become Navy Seals.

There you go. Say what you mean.

It is funny seeing how poorly dressed Coach Moser is, but I love it. Seeing him and the GQ model Jay Wright coaching against one another in the final would be cool. Hate going against Beilein who seems like a great guy, paid his dues. and from all accounts, does it the right way. Interesting Final Four.

JBQ - Damn right Title IX did a number. Actually two numbers - 50 & 50. Your problem with prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sex and your "pseudo" doesn't call women out, it calls you out.
