This is BC's best start since 2007 and Addazio seems pretty happy with his team. He like the chemistry and liked how they responded to some adversity. If you read into Addazio's reactions, he thinks this team is very good.

Purdue is 0-3 but their QB threw for 572 yards against Missouri last night. Our defense better be prepared.
This team is very talented. Nevertheless, the special teams mess is a mess.
Special teams will cost us a game or two. Will Daz fix it? Highly unlikely.
I have a similar feeling about this Purdue game as I did the Colorado State game a couple years back.
Me too.
We need to play three down lineman more against these passing teams and put out another LB or safety/corner.
Dazzler needs to develop another interior lineman. It might been to late now. We have 12-15 OL move one to defense. Seems short sighted to not have someone who can backup ray smith.
I don't think Purdue is much better than Wake. Clean kicking game and we win by 10.
Big Ten had a tough weekend. 6-7 in the win column. Most games were home contests.Five of the losses were to non power 5 teams. If Iowa beats Wisconsin next weekend they will have the inside track to the title game. Wisconsin has a much tougher schedule. Big Ten West is soft.2. Purdue is mot going to throw for 500 yards against BC. 3.FSU looked awful in both their conference games. Taggert may be in for an entire rebuild. Maybe Jimbo knew what was in store at FSU so he bolted. Louisville doesn't look too potent either but Temple beat Maryland who beat Texas who beat USC. The Pac 12 South looks weak. ND was not impressive in their last two weeks. Could a Wake upset be in store? How bad are some of those SEC teams? Ole Miss and Arkansas look terrible.
Top 25 in both polls, who could have thunk it !!
“To all the haters and the doubters, of which there are many”
Purdue will give us problems. Blough threw for over 500 yards against a decent Mizzou team. Purdue is also three plays from being 3-0 and likely ranked as well. I will be at the game, and unfortunately, my trips are usually synonymous with defeats (Colo State, Pitt, FSU 2005). I am hoping this hunch is wrong, but just my opinion.

If we go 5-0 then I will become a believer.
Purdue can score. There’s no doubt about that. But their defense is significantly worse than Wake’s. Their run D has looked really bad. I think it’ll follow a similar storyline to the Wake game. They sell out at all costs to stop Dillon. Brown picks them apart from a clean pocket
Guys, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Its imperative we go 5-0 before the real season begins. Then we take each game one at a time.
Purdue is terrible. Mizzou took it to them. BC is now ranked in both polls. This is a very talented team and AB is the key. Nevertheless, the Achilles Heel is special teams. If they don't right that listing ship, the season will be lost after a promising start.--- Actually, I have to wonder if Carlson is related to the Minnesota young kicker Carlson who froze up against Green Bay. Not a lot of confidence in the PAT kicker Tessitore either. Jeff Smith is the holder and I have been watching him closely. He does everything right. Therefore, the problem is the kicker.---Since the PAT guy is related to an ESPN big shot, I have to wonder if the Dazzler is playing politics to the detriment of the team. Just who is the special teams coach?
Tessitore is a true freshman. He’s only kicking PAT’s because the starting kicker Lichtenberg is hurt
Does anyone have a status update on Lichtenberg? He was never very good to begin with but we sorely need him now.
JBQ you do realize Purdue lost by 3 and had a chance to win it?

Top 25.
Let's expect Purdue to be a worthy opponent and that it will be a tough game. Each of their losses have been very close, and they will be very hungry for a win at home. They're starving - and that means dangerous.
On another note - but related in a way, I was at the Falcons game today. Matty Ice ran for a very exciting TD to put the Falcons ahead 31 to 17 against the Carolina Panthers pretty deep into the 4th quarter. Not long afterwards, Atlanta mad an interception and things looked good.
The Falcons took over with about 6 minutes and 18 seconds left in the game. I turned to my wife and said- if they don't play for a first down, this could be tough to close out. Just like Addazio, Quinn started eating clock as his number 1 priority.
They didn't get a first down (and in fact their own player an out of bounds to stop the clock. Cam Newton got the ball back and quickly marched them down for a score. 31 to 24. Falcons get the ball back and all they need is a first down. Panthers have all 3 time outs. The Falcons have 3rd and 1 for the victory , but don't get it.
Panthers now have 2 minutes to go 88 yards. Guess what? they get enough yardage that the last pass isn't that far for Newton and the completion was very nearly made as time ran out.
Bottom line - don't Addazio your way to a victory, when one - say it again - ONE first down would have prevented all of that nonsense at the end of the game. Addazio started milking clock with over 6 minutes to go at Wake. Don't ever do that again against a better team or a Big Ten Team on the road.
Go BC - beat Purdue and if you get them down, don't let them get up.
When you play not to lose, you, well, lose. A killer instinct will serve us well as we move to the tougher part of the schedule.
@Unknown: Mizzou moved the ball as BC will do. Their defense is terrible. BC has a decent defense where Mizzou has problems. I don't see Purdue's quarterback throwing for 500 yards against BC. However, you never know.
JBQ,
I don't like teams that are backed into a corner like Purdue is. This is a team that is literally three plays away from being 3-0. A late penalty against NW, A penalty against EMU, and a chance to take the lead against MIZZOU. This team is not nearly as bad as their record states. Furthermore, BC tends to play down to their competition and we don't have the best track record against the B1G. I hope the team proves me wrong and comes out firing on all cylinders. With BC football, it's the norm to air on the side of caution. Then again, what do I know, I didn't go to BC.
Respectfully,
Pat
