Money is a sign of momentum in BC Athletics

BC officially announced its long-discussed strategic plan and capital campaign for Athletics. The details of the strategic plan are not that important. And as we know from numerous BC projects, this will get altered. To me, the most encouraging aspect of the announcement is the $150 million capital campaign. This campaign will be the largest in ACC history and the first sports-specific campaign in BC history.

While we wait and hope for excitement on the field and court, the most palpable part of BC sports of the last decade was a loss of passion and engagement. Blame Gene, Bates, Spaz, Jags, Addazio, Donahue, Christian, the change in college sports, the changing demographics of BC, the changing nature of fandom, whatever. People don't feel as engaged. The two areas where it is most obvious was in attendance and fundraising. If Jarmond and BC think there is now enough interest and support for a huge campaign, then that is a sign people are feeling better about BC. Just think of how long Bates was trying to raise money for the practice facility. Now less than two years later BC is being aggressive, public and specific in its goals. That is a great sign. It means they expect the teams to win and they are going to try everything to get this community to buy in.

The money and proposed renovations to Conte should help basketball recruiting and solidify hockey as we near the end of the York years. It is also another selling point for the football program.

I applaud Jarmond for taking on this task. He was hired for many reason, but fundraising was a big one. Now he is proving that he is willing to get out there, talk to donors and sell them on BC.

Don't care about the money chatter. Win or make changes to try and win. Don't want more money thrown at the problem unless it results in improvement. Nobody cares. So why set yourself for failure with a public declaration.

Spending another $150 million while your academic ranking is swirling the toilet bowl is dumb.

The school needs a new President.

Line for the game has increased from -12 to -13 in the last 24 hours.

Can't condemn my alma mater for initiating a 5 year plan to improve our standing . Have to start somewhere and would rather hear something positive than nothing at all, as in recent times. Go BC .. leaving to attend game in a few, , USA Ryder playing like BC at Purdue, ..need complacency to end!!

I like the attention and focus as well - but its largely a fundraising campaign. Money matters the most probably - but as we all know BC athletics has suffered in the past for reasons unrelated to money. But I doubt they would launch a Greater Heights Anti Dumbness Campaign concurrently with this.

I continue to not understand the obvious dislike for Jags. He was the leader for two years and then was gone in the dust up with DeF. While at BC, he was extremely successful with two appearances in the ACC Championship.---Of course, he had Matt Ryan but he also had such as Rich Gunnell. You still have to give him credit for putting the pieces together. You cannot continue to judge him for what happened after. Just what did he do wrong? He wanted an interview. He was not getting the job with the Jets. He had made a verbal agreement with DeF to not interview for three years.---Obviously, Jags wanted out. He did not want to play the college game of recruiting. Nevertheless, he had four mouths to feed and now five. Last year, he was a high school coach in Chattanooga and assistant to boot. He did a good job at Georgia State as their O.C.---How about giving him just due for his two great years? DeF and Leahy are mad because he snookered the system with a three year payoff. You can bet that he was blacklisted. Green Bay liked him. His wife and children love him. So, he is a con artist. Give him credit for bringing back the echoes.

I cannot wait for the Silvio O. Conte Forum to be renamed as the Chipotle Arena. Really cannot fucking wait.

I called him a fraud here as soon as I heard him say "BC men" where going to be on the team. That is what he is. Dazzler dropped that bullshit himself again in recent weeks.

MJ isn’t raising a 10th if that unless he makes coaching change. Daz good guy just not the answer. Your not raising 150M with a 6-6 football team. See if he earns his money.

imilarly, knowing which areas of physics you need help with will help you to find a tutor who is qualified. Overall, the most important thing to consider when searching for a physics tutor, is someone who is flexible in their tutoring style and willing to try new teaching techniques that best fit their student.

Physics assignments are complicated projects that require a lot of time, due to the use of Physics formulas and the prerequisites in math. Completing the physics assignments successfully requires a great deal of knowledge, skills and sometimes assistance from qualified online physics help providers. You can get professional homework help at How Homework Was Invented
