Good news on Dillon

Addazio said that Dillon looked good in practice and is on schedule to play against Miami. I think BC can win without Dillon, but having him play is a huge asset for BC. Even if he is not 100%, his presence will force Miami to key on him and open up other plays for BC on Offense.

There may be a concern among some about Dillon coming back too fast. I am not worried. We need this game and the win.

He is useless injured. We will see.

He needs to play to win and should be good, he has had 4 full weeks off since Temple

Would love to see Daz use his return early in game as decoy with play action against stacked box & play to win but I imagine that won’t happen. We should still see a heavy dose of Bailey & Glines and keep Dillon carries to 20 or less.

Any word from those close to department on ticket sales?

We have some depth at running back now, so that should lighten Dillon's load. Of course, Daz will probably want 35 carries out of him.

Shabby-
BCEagles.com lets you view the unsold tickets on a map of a Alumni. There are still large swaths of unsold seats.

@Shabby1011: Ha!, "play action" against a stacked box. That would mean passing on first or second down. It would also mean AB being consistent. There is no doubt that he is "damaged goods" with a bad knee. Now if McDonald was the qb, then it would work. Daz only wants a "hand off machine" behind center.

Can still get tickets. Got an 5th in my section Friday afternoon.

High ankles 6 weeks. Like fucking turf toe. Lingers.

McDonald is the new Suntrup. TGS likes them both too though. So you aren't alone.

Fucking weirdos everywhere.

Mod, get a grip. You're losing it, bro.

I have generally refused to support BC Athletics financially since Brad Bates was the AD and the series of terrible decisions he made, including not firing Daz sooner. Until Daz or MJ prove me differently, that will continue... so I bought tickets off of stubhub for this game, at under BC's price. I'll do my best not to buy anything in Alumni. Money is the only thing the school listens to. Maybe if we get embarrassed on national television, are dramatically outnumbered by "fans" of the U, or tons of seats are empty, BC will finally pay attention to the passive neglect they are showing to the fanbase.

Dillon's presence will cause Miami to stack the box, thereby opening up other options....hmmm..someone please tell playcallers what that means, and maybe employ the players best suited to execute. There hasn't been much evidence that this staff knows what it means to open other options.

Eagletix, welcome to the team. We bitch about this problem almost daily. Unfortunately, Dazoshit doesn't listen.

I'm gonna guess ~41k for attendance

Shabby1011 said...

Unbelievable we can’t get 44k for a Friday night game vs Miami.

The administration continues to refuse to listen about making it easier and more accessible to park ON campus for games. Nobody is taking public transportation or a Lyft, it’s COLLEGE FOOTBALL! half the reason you go is to tailgate comfortably, not take a Uber.

I guarantee that there will be a ton of spots open on Shea, Plex, Robsham etc but those knuckleheads running the FF are gonna puff their chest out and hold a hard line on donation minimums while the place is half empty...idiots

MJ can get salted pretzels on the menu all he wants but until they make it more accessible to park on campus when there is a ton of space not being used they are never going to sell out games on the regular

Consistently winning at least 8 regular season games a season is what they need to do.

Knead still pretending he went to BC. Pathetic.
Fat, celibate and stupid is no way to go through life son.

No buzz for this game. The Globe throws up another story on Dillon like he is the reason are 5-2. Sweeney said it best in the article. He will be a good NFL player and future front office employee. He can catch, run and put two-three grammatically correct cohesive sentences together.

TGS with the non sports related, unoriginal barstool sports animal house rreference. How is your "son" faring at Providence College? You know I graduated from Boston College. I know you wish any if any of your family had a chance to attend. You are a fucking joke.

Knucklehead said...

Pair up with HA! guy there. You two are a match made in Providence.

I don’t agree with the position that the best way to send a message to the powers that be is to withhold dollars, not buy tickets and avoid purchasing anything at the stadium. You will only give the administration an excuse to invest even less resources. I think true fans are steadfast and loyal and that currency gives you the right to hold people accountable.
