New women's coach and other links

BC hired Sylvia Crawley to replace Cathy Inglese as Head Coach of the women's basketball team. Crawley comes to the Heights with two years of head coaching experience at Ohio University. You can watch the press conference at 2:30 PM ET on bceagles.com.

Jamie Silva is excited about being a Colt.

Tyronne Pruitt will join Cherilus in Detroit.

Sad, disturbing news: former BC star Ivan Caesar was killed in Orlando.

In other free agent news Jon Loyte signed with Tampa Bay.

I'm happy for Silva, Pruitt and Loyte - any news on Dunbar, Callender or Ayers?

Very sad news about Caesar.

The new Women's Coach, Sylvia Crawley looks pretty good to me. Still curious if Inglese just decided it was time, or there was more to it - like a irreconcilable difference of opinion with GD. I'm not looking for controversy - just wondering.

Heard that Dunbar signed a three year deal with New Orleans. Not sure about Callendar and Ayers.

As for Inglese, I heard that she was pushed/forced out. Apparently GD was not a big fan and had a role in her leaving. The person who told me is someone who is relatively close to both the men's and women's programs. Having said that, this "source" is not that big of a fan of GD, so I am not 100% convinced of everything he told me.

My ex-girlfriend played for Cathy for two years ('93-'94 and '94-'95). I will ask her if she knows of anything.
