The loss to Miami was a setback. However, it is what other teams did over the weekend that has me worried. Many major conference bubble teams helped themselves and Maryland's upset of UNC took off a bit of the luster from our earlier win at Chapel Hill.
He hasn't updated his online version yet, but last night Lunardi said BC was one of his last four in. Our RPI slipped to 54. The Bracketology 101 crew remains confident that BC will get in and has our Eagles as a 9 seed.

Of course we need to win a couple more to feel comfortable about getting in, but I dont think the weekend was as bad as it seems to you. It sucked to lose to Miami, but while some bubble teams got wins, many lost ground as well....Vtech, Cincy, Georgetown, USC, Providence, Michigan, SDSU, etc. So if the season ended today, I think we would be on the good side of the bubble. But lets hope we get we get two of the last three. Tomorrow night is huge!
Ummm, Lunardi's brackets are a mess. He has us listed as a "last four in" but gave us a #10 seed??? South Carolina, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Miami all have lower seeds, but are not listed in the Last Four in. Also, he has Notre Dame as a Last Four Out, and has them as a #10 seed!!! C'mon Joe, get it together.
oops. i didn't read the rather obscure "editor's note" which explained that the brackets reflect the mock exercise conducted this weekend by the NCAA, while the breakdown of teams in and out was based on Lunardi's projections. they sould have made that more clear.
After the loss to Vandy in the Music City Bowl and the apparent Frozen Four Champion hangover season the hockey team is turning in, it looks like the hoops team represents our last hope at salvaging some accolades for the Heights this year
