Duke gametime announcement and other links

The Duke game will be on ESPN3.com at noon. Both teams have a losing record so this is not a surprise. Syracuse might be our last TV game of the year.

Todd McShay is already talking up Montel. I hope he doesn't do something rash like enter the draft early.

Sean Duggan decided to commit to BC after his weekend visiting the campus for the Clemson game. I am glad we are keeping the Cincy pipeline open.

Kelli Stack was named Hockey East player of the week.

HD gave Montel one of her helmet stickers for his work against Clemson.

“Luke loves it there,” Daniels said. “Alex Albright is a captain. They both told me a lot of good things. Luke said Boston College is one of the best things that ever happened to him.”

Hate to sound nerdy, but just an FYI to anyone with XBOX and XBOX live: If you have ESPN3 - you can now watch all ESPN3 games on your TV via XBOX360 - a nice change from the computer screen. This is a nice feature for us who like a bigger screen.

To do so, just download the ESPN application from the Video Marketplace.

I posted it yesterday, but ATL, you gotta get insider to at least post the Duggan news within a day of it being official. I've been going over there a little since you took over, but the Boards remain pretty dead and you wonder if Scout cares at all re BC if they don't even post some pretty big recruiting news within two days of it going up elsewhere.

blend --

For the other old guys who do not have XBOX but do have an HD TV, you can also just hook your laptop to you TV with an HDMI cord. See HDMI

Go down to Radio Shack and get an HDMI cord. (My HD TV is 5 years old and it has an HDMI slot -- so it is not a new fangled thang).

Also, check the sound on your laptop. You can pretty easily make a few adjustments . . .

[ on Windows >>>control panel>hardware and sound>sound> change sound system>playback>digital output]

. . . . and the sound comes out of the TV and not your laptop.

Once you get the ESPN3 game on your TV, you forget that its broacast via computer. Except for commericals -- seems that every time there is a commercial break, I need to reopen the game link.

blend - does this work for ps3 too? If not, I suppose I could use the ps3 browser to log into my comcast work account and get it that way...

Following up on mod's point... You can also use an s-video cable if you don't have an HDTV. Cheap, and pretty easy to do.
