As expected BC earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. We will play Union this Saturday night. The winner faces the winner of Canisius and Quinnipiac. The good news is that the game is in Providence so any BC fan wanting to go can. We also got a decent bracket and have a very good chance of advancing to another Frozen Four.
BC provided no guidance on Jerry York's status. I would find it hard to imagine him coming back this week.
For more on the tournament, check out USCHO's bracket breakdown.

Jerry commented on how happy he was that the game was in Providence because he can't fly with his eye and would have had to drive to Toledo or Grand Rapids....hence, it sounds like he'll be coaching.
or at least attending. They need a very good game. Scoring has been down.
BC still in the running for Christ the King guard Jon Severe.
"In other recruiting news, Christ the King senior guard Jon Severe informed Scarlet Nation via text of his current list of schools that remain in contention. Rutgers made the cut, along with Pitt, West Virginia, Boston College, Seton Hall, Fordham, Duquesne, George Washington, Kansas State and Creighton." -- http://rutgers.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1487764
Severe recently won MVP and set scoring records in NY state end of season tournament:
Tournament MVP Jon Severe scored 28 points as Christ the King topped Long Island Lutheran 73-64 in the Class AA final Saturday at the New York State Boys Basketball Federation Tournament of Champions.
Severe's 68 points over two games obliterated the old record of 50, held by three Mount Vernon players.

Severe in the CHSAA championship.
kid has a great handle and is a confident scorer. would be a REAL nice get for BC. him and Hanlan would be an explosive back court.
