The kicker lost this game. Lets be honest. It is his fault. Plain and simple.

DBs were an embarassment.
Kicker needs to have his scholarship pulled. Most HS kickers would have made 1 of those 2 kicks.
We in theory have a chance but it might be better than a chance if our HC hadn't wasted a timeout (again).

Agree with Bravesbill. This is a strategy loss, starting with blowing a 3rd quarter timeout in a close game. Then, going way too conservative with 6 fricken minutes left.
People blaming the kicker here is why the Daz is still coaching at BC.
He is the ISSUE, not missed kicks in crappy weather from tough angles.

Addazio sucks, but a HS kicker would convert 1 of 2 of those kicks. Quit minimizing the multiple years of lousy kicking.

Daz thought about having his QB take a safety there, then punt.
All in all though he's thrilled with a 3 point loss.
Now he'll throw his players under the bus and insinuate he needs another five years to turn things around.
Definition of stupidity BC fans. Do the same things over and over and expect a different result.
daz just has too much of try not to lose mentality. I feel bad for the players---yes they made mistakes but your coach has to foster a we can win attitude and he is failing terribly in this area with his game calling
If Wagner comes in feeling overconfident BC might have a shot!

9 straight ACC losses. Ouch! Addazio did not even speak to the BC sideline crew on the way out. Meter and the Old Linebacker have turned on Addazio too.
We completely blew that game. We still have no kicking game. The GT RB moved early on that last touchdown. Doesn't matter. We had them 4th and 19 and made numerous game killing errors. The way that game ended with all the false starts is embarrassing. I don't know how Addazio keeps his job.
That loss had nothing to do with Addazio in terms of what happened on the field

Knucklehead is right. Daz is the best coach in America and we are lucky to have him.

How is it BS? Another close loss. How is that not on the coach? We're we blown out? No. Good coaches find a way to win. We are not finding a way to win. I think that is totally on the coach.
That was infuriating, heartbreaking, and completely as expected. We actually generated a little offense, but Addazio showed a total lack of confidence in them by going for a FG (which we all knew would be missed.) Daz is a cowardly play caller and crappy game manager. Nothing changes with him. This has to be disheartening for the kids.
Waiting to hear which players he'll blame. So sick of his incompetence.
Coaching continues to be horrible. Why did GT go for an earlier field goal? Because they knew on next possession Dazz would hand off to Hillman two straight times up the middle, pull a three and out, and then hand the ball back. that is why. Dazz's tendancies are known to all of our opponents and they can count on them. Too bad, because it looks like Towles can actually throw. Players deserve better coaching. Boy does this get old. Feel sorry for the defense, another wasted effort.
The kicking game is on Addazio too. This is the third straight year of poor kicking. You can try to blame the weather, but the Tech kicker hit a 40 yarder.
Knuckle has already identified who he's throwing under the bus today.

The last GT drive was ridiculous. Go back and look at the transcript of the drive. It was bullshit pulled out of a hat.
Not sure what Addazio was supposed to do to stop GT on the last drive.

The coach decided to kick the fgs when he knows the kicker is terrible and it's wet and rainy! And not going into prevent defense on 4th and 19 would be smart. And you fail to address the wasted timeouts and the decision to go into an offensive shell with 7 minutes left.

Knuckle, I have been a huge Addazio apologist but I can no longer defend him. You have a red-hot offense facing a 4th and 1 and you go with a shaky kicker? Oh, and you blow a timeout too. Go back and look at last season. He blew precious timeouts early in the second half in at least 3 games. Look at the Wake game where we ran out of time. There is a pattern here of poor in-game management. Also, you score a TD by being aggressive and you turtle up with 6 minutes left? I'm fine with running 3 plays straight into the line with 2-3 minutes left, but 6 minutes? And then your defense allows a 4th and 19 pass completion by an option team! How do you allow that to happen?
We are already down 1 game in the ACC and you have a team that does not know how to win. That is a habit. And that is on the coach.

red hot? boston college offense? I already addressed that kick. It makes sense.
The timeouts didn't matter. The offense penalized itself 3-4-5 times on the last drive. Didn't matter.
This game was lost on the field by the kicker.
I am not apologizing Adazzio. I don't see him as the problem today.
The coach gave the kicker a chance and the kid blew it.
The question is what happens in the next game. If he lets that kid kick ever again then he ought to be fired.
yes if the players didn't screw up we could have won BUT if we went on 4th and one(coach's decision) we might have won, if we didn't play prevent defense late in the game(coach's decision) we might have won, if we tried something more exotic than running up the middle at the end(coach's decision) we might have won. if we had a coach that coach's to win that might be just enough to win these close games!
Is there really a defense of daz going on here... He clearly was out coached today ...played not to lose instead of playing to win....which has happen far too happen to just be players not executing
