With the win, @BCHockey can finish no lower than fourth and will host a quarterfinal round at Conte Forum. If BC were to get four of its remaining six possible points, the Eagles would clinch the regular season title outright. https://t.co/aRizRtDfI8— Hockey East (@hockey_east) February 16, 2018

Strong 3rd period gives BC win over UMass.
The Men's team bounced back from Monday's frustrating loss with a solid comeback against UMass Thursday. BC scored four in the final period for the win. Without a dominant team, the Hockey East picture is muddled. But BC can still control its own destiny.

Just goes to show expectations for BC hockey - the impression is of a down year but they still can win HockeyEast and can;'t be worse than 4th. Time to get hot is now boys!
I read they were 23rd in the rankings, which would mean they would have to win the HE tournament to get an automatic berth since they are 0-fer out of conference.
CT, you're right. The team is 23rd in the PairWise rankings, which the tournament committee uses for picking the 16 teams. We're 19th in the USCHO poll but that doesn't mean much. Hockey East will probably get Providence and Northeastern into the NCAAs. If we run the table, we'd be the third and last team, most likely. An unusually weak year for the conference and 0-7-3 out of conference doom us, probably.
Hockey East is weak, this season.
Hopefully trophy season is just off to a late start. Got to wonder how many years York has left and if he has a succession plan in place.
