Brown gets media attention, which means he's ok

Anthony Brown is the starter for Steve Addazio. As much as Daz hedges and downplays the opening battle and Brown's recovery, this is not like last year. Brown will start the first game at QB.

I haven't watched practice nor do I have access to Addazio. I just know that two features on the QB in the same day (New Jersey paper | the Herald) means that is he probably ok and will the top of the depth charge until he does something to lose the job.

He is an important ingredient. He needs to keep his confidence level up. Game conditions will test the knee on full throttle. Practice appears to show that he is a go. Many injuries cause a change in muscle use.---Rodney Hood of the Utah Jazz came from Kentucky and had a lights out leftie shooting motion. He tore up his knew and everything came apart. He is now a bit player for Cleveland. His injury healed but his motion changed.---That is what Brown needs to concentrate on, keeping things the same. We'll know for sure quickly but hopefully everything is okay.

He needs to be able to throw the ball out of the pocket accurately and run judiciously. Those are changes.

He should have enough time with this oline to throw the ball with some touch which should improve the accuracy.

So is the season a catastrophe if we lose Brown and Dillon? Winning teams have depth and redundancy.

I wish Elijah Johnson the best as he comes back from his knee injury. It's taking him longer and I hope it's a situation that will eventually be okay. 6'5", 330 is just what we need.

I assume Jon Baker is okay, because I haven't seen any mention otherwise.

Monteiro, Schmal, Baker, C. Lindstrom, Petrula

Phillips, Palazollo, Freshmen Shelmire and Dirstine, are maybe the backups, but Phillips can start with Petrula at center, and Baker filling in. Love to see Johnson back in there too.

It should be interesting. I don't know how good the others are, but pretty okay. I hope we redshirt all those we can.

Go BC.

Would love to keep Petrula at center where he was one of the best in the ACC last year. Seems like BC thinks playing him there is a waste of his prototypical tackle frame. I think that his size is actually a big reason he played so well there going against interior lineman. Baker is on the smaller side which worries me

Superior brains and quickness off theball

Whose? Baker or Petrula?

Petrula. Been touting him since Dazzler was forced to move him to center. Correlation or coincidence that the offense started playing well when he moved to center?

For the lame brains. Obviously Dillon is great but he would have had half the season he had last year with Baker at center.

He is the best center in America. Second best player on the team. He will definitely be moved to right tackle by Dazzler.

Have no idea what the media sees in Lindstrom, by the way.

I like Petrula at center as well - big time.

When Addazio plays favorites, the Eagles are a lesser team.

Eagles are lesser when Addazio plays favorites? Pfft.

Now that I've cut back to rainmaker status at the firm, I've been coaching 11-U travel baseball for my kid this year. Trust me, it's much more fun playing the 7th place game in a weekend tournament with your own kid on the mound.

While I was married to my second ex-shrew, my kid O.C. Jr. got cut from the eventual state champion Little League team while I was getting a deal done in Singapore.

When I dropped my third and married the receptionist/yoga instructor/ArenaFootball cheerleader, I said "no more". I reduced my schedule, donated mega $ so I could coach the travel team, cut the kids who were in my new son's way, and rode him to 8th place in the Moe Greenberg Consolation Classic in White Plains, NY (after winning our partial octo-final break-in game!).

So yeah, I loved it when Daz played Louie. Good on him.

Justin Frye was the worst favorite, to date. Thank Christ. Literally. That he is gone to la la land.
