Hype, hype, hype. That's all we've heard and read about BC this summer. Dillon a darkhorse candidate! BC a Top 25 team! Even getting votes from coaches! But there are still a few skeptics. Like CBS's Jerry Palm. He puts together extensive Bowl Projections and still sees BC staying home. Palm has been off the bandwagon all summer, but I thought seeing other projections coupled with the positive perception might get him to include BC for his latest projections. (I also understand changing the projections during the summer before any game is sort of pointless.)
BC will go bowling this year. The schedule has enough wins built in to make getting to bowl doable. If Palm is right and BC has a losing record this year, I think we will have more than a bowl game to worry about.

Jerry's nephew got the thin response letter from the admissions department.
Heck, with our APR we'd probably be bowl-eligible at 5-7. He really thinks with UMass, HC and Temple on the schedule that we can't find 3 other wins to get to 6-6 and be bowl-eligible for sure? Wow. It's that time of year, where every alleged pundit has to weigh in. There will always be an outlier or two and Palm is certainly that.
17 days until we tee it up and all these predictions become completely worthless. 8-4 in the regular season is realistic. Go Eagles!
This guy's Bowl selections are absurd at this point.
But, as usual, we should concentrate on the ACC Atlantic and the ACC overall.
ACC bowl tie-ins are not very good anyway.
Let's aspire to beat Clemson, FSU, Louisville, NC State, Wake Forest and Syracuse. Beating VT and Miami are great goals as well.
Bowl projections in mid-August are bull sh$t.
Great press clippings are best ignored. Bad ones are motivators. Post his predictions in the locker room and prove he's an idiot.
John, aren't we being a wee too optimistic?
Well, I think we had better believe that we can beat these guys "on the day" - and aspire to beating them - and focusing on beating them one game at a time.
I am optimistic that this year's team will believe in itself enough to feel as though they COULD beat any team on the schedule.
It's why there is always a building
of interest in August before the season starts. There is no weeping and crying "lack, loss, limitation" from this crew right now.
I'm on the bandwagon of my own school!
Go BC - take them one game at a time - full focus - don't look ahead and don't let the word "bowl" enter your thinking process.
Beat UMass
The guys in the desert have us tied for 5th with NC State to win the ACC Championship game. I am comfortable with that since we kick their ass every year, all things being equal.
Meaning we have our starting QB dimwit Mod.

2015 Service Team. They are the practice squad. 3rd on the depth chart of the Service Team.
I always win.
Cannot wait to see you ignore the fact that you are wrong and get hung up on the fact that I said that I won.
The proof is in the pudding. The season will be known after the first 5 games UMass, HC, @Wake, @Purdue, Temple. Dazzler has a poor track record when the "chips are on the table". If he leaves his coordinators alone, then BC will be successful and 8 or 9 wins is within sight.
I'd love to hear Palm explain how a BC team that last year won seven games against a comparable schedule and returns almost everybody is going to drop to five wins or worse this year. My guess is you'll see BC quietly appear in his postseason picks after the first or second week as he realizes his omission.
While I think there's no doubt BC makes a bowl, I do get the case for skepticism about a top-25, nine or ten-win-type breakout. Daz has yet to win more than seven games at BC and we've seen numerous close games go against the Eagles due to questionable coaching in late-game situations. You just look at games like @ Purdue, @ NC State, and possibly even @ Wake or vs. Temple and I can't shake the feeling that we'll find a way to drop a couple of those. Prove me wrong, coach!
Your reading comprehension is legendary.
Downtown, I'm in complete agreement. Dazoshit will find a way to lose a game or two.
Enlightening back and forth.
ESPN has us #4 in the conference in today’s write-up.
Is it? Enlightening.
Tool.
The facts are the facts. Darnold was on the USC "service team" his first season with a program that carries 5 QB's. Then one season later he was the starter. He did not go into USC and start or even contend for a starting role. After injuries and failures by others he was made the starter and was extremely successful.
The same circumstances as Flutie.
Mod,
You are a sad person.
If you actually read Darnold’s Bio, it says he was #3 on the depth chart but redshirted his freshman year. He led the practice squad because he wasn’t playing that year unless the #1 and #2 got hurt.
Please explain why we are talking about Sam Darnold?
there were three people who played QB for them in a game that season. He wasn't third string. He was third on the service team to start the season and ended up running the team and winning the player of the year.

And here is the depth chart.

Mod,
I always win.
Because Mod and Knucklehead are in a never-ending, perpetual feud.
Another preseason look at the depth chart.

Mod is an idiot. He thinks he is pissing me off by acting dumb or he is unable comprehend simple english. Either way I will continue to prove myself correct, when I am.
When Mods comments get hysterical then you know he is wrong.
Knuck, he redshirted. They didn’t want to play him. That’s why he ran the scout team.
Right.
Find something original. Loser.
