Had a blast watching the game tonight at alumni. First time back with the new booze rules. Student section filled up by middle of q1. Team looked great, crushed Miami on the field position battle in particular.
11 and 4 in last 15 games
Big win. The game never felt close at Alumni and our guys looked like the more dominant team in all 3 aspects of the game. Loved the 4th down conversions, D looked great & it seemed Dillon could break a long run at any time. Those who were left at the end “rushed” the field and you could see the players loved it. Big smiles all around.
While they are doing a lot of good things to try to get the energy up in the stadium, the fan apathy is disappointing. For such a big game, I would have expected much more buzz. If you have been at Alumni for big, nationally televised night games in the past, this was really tame.
Hopefully a win next wk will energize the base. We will need it to get past Clemson.
They played 5-6 lbs. Strachan, Richardson cannot hack a full game.
Been going to games for 25 years. This wasn't better or worse than any other big game at Alumni.
They beat the bag out of Miami and I have to complain about something? How about something real like the holding we get called for and the ones our opponents don't get called on.

Where has that first half play calling been the past 5 years. Probably the most solid offensive play calling Daz has ever had in his tenure.
Yes I noticed this as well. There were some obvious holds on Miami that weren’t getting called when we’d get called for doing less.

Defense much improved & continue to make plays
Dillon is stud & difference maker, Brown played pretty well thou a few mistakes but good enough
Play calling was much better (I saw play action on first down!)

This should be BC’s prototype on how to win big games for years to come. Make every incoming class of recruits watch that game to show how BC competes and wins. With smarts, discipline, and solid defense. If you run the ball and control the line of scrimmage, you also control the time of possession and field position. For all Miami’s hype coming into this season, their offense didn’t have a chance going 80+ yards against our D tonight. If Brown limits turnovers, there’s not a team in the ACC (in a good or bad year) that BC shouldnt be competitive with, Clemson included. Also, I was sitting in the student section behind the end zone. It was loud in big moments. Particularly when Miami had a first and goal from our 4 but the end of the third quarter flipped the field so they were coming into our end zone. The kids got loud and you could tell Miami’s O was noticeably flustered by it
6-2 overall, 3-1 in the conference. I figure we go 2-2 the rest of the way. Clemson's an obvious loss. We can will all of the other 3 games, but one of them will probably go the wrong way. 8-4 and 5-3 in the ACC may get us a reasonable bowl game. And surely another year of Daz.
Hopefully win over VaTech or FSU plus cuse for 8 plus win in bowl game.

You have to give "the devil" his due. It was a dominant performance. It is still good to keep reality in focus. At VT and Clemson at home will be tough. The ability of AB to run was key.----A funny anecdote from Sean McDonough told the story. With about three and a half left, Daz had a dust up with a ref over a holding call. It was obvious that his comments were a bit "salty". McDonough stated that Daz "would have to talk to a priest about some of the words that he used".---With a 99% success rate, there is one point of note to make about AB. He "slings hash" like the cook at a greasy spoon diner. He needs to work on his motion and throw over the top instead of slinging it sidearm. If he doesn't, Clemson will eat him alive. In spite of that, he really had a good game.
The radio guys, Mutryn especially, was saying the holding calls have been one sided and they say it has something to do with Dazzlers behavior on the sideline. This game was not as bad as NC State
FSU looks beatable...
Great game and provides an opportunity for an 8 win regular season. NC State loss is a bummer since they have an easier schedule rest of the way and will likely finish ahead of BC in the Atlantic.
While some have noted the slow build of the crowd it appeared by the end of the first quarter to be a good showing despite competing against a Red Sox World Series game. Between tailgating beforehand and being able to follow/watch the game on their phones at the post-party, it seems like more and more students are focused on attending just the 2nd and 3rd quarter.
You don't have attendance problems at schools with winning traditions. BC kids are spoiled preppy brats. The sons and daughters of working class families are long gone.

I must say that besides Clemson, Syracuse looks pretty tough, and they pose many match up problems for BC.
I am hoping that we can take advantage of VT on a down year for them. We need revenge for the 49 to 0 drubbing they gave us a couple of years ago.
And we need to take advantage of our opportunity in Tallahassee.
I hope that the Athletic Department can create some incentives to fill the stadium on the Saturday after Thanksgiving - because we will need it.

NC State loses to Sycracuse which could help BC in standings but also means that it will be a tough game. Going 2-2 over next 4 would be good and 3-1 would be great.
