BC had a comfortable lead in the first half sparked by good D. The second half was a bit more sloppy. In the end, they mostly held the lead. Pop had another good night. Bowman's shooting remains a bit cold, but it is nice to see others fill the void when needed.
Next up: the biggest test of the young season...a game against Providence.

You actually boasted about a win over Sacred Heart? Really ATL?
For god's sake GE, read what he wrote. I agree with what he wrote. I too would like to see a big change at the top but let's not wallow in the eternal negative pool.
Playing a little school like that is absurd. It's even more absurd to spin it as a step forward.
I'll be positive when BC starts producing winning sports teams.
Look at next year's recruiting class (Felder and Heath especially)- future looking better. Tabbs extremely good - Hamilton getting better. If Spinelli can land a legit center this year to follow Popovic (who is much improved) - will make a huge difference. Christian has to continue to play everyone - can't rely solely on Bowman. The more these kids play and gain confidence - things will really start to click. Cautiously optimistic.
Three of the four commits had pretty decent offers. But I agree about needing a Center.
Obviously didn't see the game, but we gave up 49 points in the second half, getting outscored in the process. Was SH within striking distance the entire time? Or was it a late run to cut the final margin?
I've been catching some ACC teams in the ACC-Big 10 Challenge (I remember when this was a big deal back in the early 90's), and the conference looks good. Seems like more and more teams are going after "long" players.
The game was comfortably in hand for the whole second half, barring the last 4 minutes when they made a run by hitting back to back 3s. Tabbs looks to be the real deal. He may end up being a better player than either Bowman or Robinson when it’s all said and done. His game is already way more polished than either of those guys games were as freshman. Bowman’s shot isn’t falling this year. Not great for our chances in ACC competition. But the team’s defense is vastly improved. Mitchell and Pop look like they’ve taken strides. Hamilton is gaining confidence in his shot which when you combine it with his athleticism could make him very dangerous. Fielder and Heath will both be instant impact type players. Future isn’t looking too bleak from where I sit
Tabbs is truly amazing for a freshman. I wonder what other offers he had? I'm not as invested in basketball as in football, but I do pay attention. I'd have liked to see even a bigger win over SH, but I do like the way more players are contributing, especially when Bowman has an off night. I'm not going to get overly optimistic, having been conditioned by BC sports, but I'll enjoy watching.
The glass may not be half full but it is definitely not half empty. Plenty of room for improvement. Jury is still out.
Tabbs had offers from Cincy, West Virginia, VT, VCU, Penn State, Rutgers, St Johns. Definitely some decent programs mixed in there. I think the only thing holding him back as a recruit was his size. He’s a true combo guard and he’s pushing 6’1”. Probably some doubt if he could be a primary ballhandler. I think he’s already proved more than capable in that department. And he’s a good distributor on top of that. Heir apparent to Bowman
I like what I have seen so far from Tabbs, Mitchell, and Pop. What I have seen from Bowman this year leads me to believe he will stay for his Senior Year. There is no way any scout or advisor will tell him he is a first rounder in the next draft.
Maybe he stays to play with family - https://247sports.com/Article/Boston-College-Basketball-Calvin-Felder-Commits--123469722/
I am much more optimistic about Christian than Daz these days.
Recruiting a 5 is a priority for BC. The staff is looking at a by the name of Skogman from Wisconsin.
Glad to hear the news. Thank you for sharing.
