SI buries Raji story and other links

SI, which first reported the Raji drug test story, has now removed it from their web site. No explanation or formal retraction was given. (Legal issues perhaps?) This saga is beyond strange. Who know what twist it will take next?

BCeagles.com posted a Q&A with Lars Anderson.

I like the interview with Anderson, and it's really the first I heard about an offense that is "all no-huddle, so it's all hand signals."

Tranquil's offense is a "Dynamic Offense" and we'll see the TE used differently. These guys are looking to win the ACC Championship - I love it. It's nice to hear that "our whole team is a hard-working team."

When the weather finally gets nice in Boston, just before classes end, Lars should take a break and have a picnic at Larz - Larz Anderson Park in Brookline. I used to work there when I was a student at BC - one of my many jobs. Great place to take a date when you don't have a lot of money.

"Dynamic" and "Current BC QBs" don't enjoy a symbiotic relationship.

If I'm Raji, I am demanding a formal apology from SI. And if i sink out of the top 15, I think seriously about litigating.

BC Guy Joe Martinez got nailed by a liner off the bat of Mike Cameron today. He walked off the field but is undergoing tests apparently.

In other news, screw BU

I absolutely agree with Ry. If it turns out to be sloppy journalism, big time lawsuit. We are talking about hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars here. If they were conned, SI should be ashamed of itself and rightly so. On the flip side, if it turns out to be true, he is a bit more screwed because he made a big deal of it rather than letting it fade away.

Pretty scary video of that liner to Martinez's head. That could kill a guy--it killed that minor league first base coach, hence the batting helmets worn now by the coaches on the field in the major leagues.

It was nice to see him walk off the field, albeit with a bloody temple and nose. Hope he recovers quickly.

Interesting...BC isn't a baseball school, but there was Boston College on Martinez's profile this morning on ESPN. It's going to be a pretty uncomfortable Good Friday for the young guy.

As for Raji, only he knows if he's guilty or not. Truth be told, I don't see him dropping at all, even were the rumors true...he's seen as that impactful at a position in which it's hard to find disruptive talent.

Hope the Falcons land Ron Brace.
